The Official 2012 NFL Thread

So based on the venting of fury after the Vikings game, I expect the Niners to beat Seattle 174-3 next week. :laughing

Bush in a 69 position. Boom-chicka-wow-wow.

Rams decided they would completely shut down the Fins' run game by crowding the box and make the rookie QB throw.

And throw he did. Fins win, tied for 1st place in division in mid-October, wooooooo.

The loss didn't bother me too much, but I'm a little concerned that they didn't play particularly well -- and that Staley has a concussion

Giants stuffed the run and said "ok bishes, throw it" and the Niners couldn't. So this is the blueprint to crush SF with ease?

It is if Alex plays like he did today and not like he did the previous few weeks.

Course, the "OMG PLAY KAEPERNICK" camp is already starting to get fired up after one bad game :laughing

Yeah it's amazing how little the majority of sports fans really know

The Giants are simply kryptonite for SF. :p

I bet every time Joe Montana reaches up to grab the seat belt in his car, his right elbow gives him a stab of pain and he thinks "FU Leonard Marshall." :p

Seattle D is better than you think. I expect a close game.

No, they're legit this year, but after the way SF reacted to the Vikings loss...

Of course more than one NFL Talking Head is now preaching that the Giants have laid out the, "Blueprint for success," against the Niners, so we'll see if other teams capitalize. That happened to my guys like 5 years ago. We were a red hot like 4-0, we lost to Tampa Bay I think it was and then just got trashed for most the rest of the season because our strategy was too one dimensional and once it had been defined, could be beaten. Now we get to see how dynamic Harbaugh can be.

:teeth :love

Sherman has no class. Brady has 3 rings and is a lock for the HOF.

Brady was talking shit during the game but he and the Pats couldn't back it up, so Sherman called him on it by...seeing him after the game. Fuck yeah, Sherman, you go boy. :laughing

Brady apparently told Sherman and safety Earl Thomas to " see him after the game when they win."

I honestly couldn't figure out the logic of using Kaepernick in the way he was used yesterday. Seemed de-stabilizing to me. As the wildcat option is spread throughout the league, it has different effects on different qbs. I'm not sure all of them really take to it.

As for the game, the Giants really kicked ass yesterday and credit is due. Tipped passes leading to picks are a gift from football-gawd-almighty and a tribute to alert players, but the Giant's running game ought to concern everyone after they humiliated SF D yesterday. Wow.

I'm sure there are lots of theories floating around on Monday morning, but having a conference game this Thursday as a priority might support some of them trying to explain the Niners performance.....I dunno....

I'm really liking a lot of teams this year. That kid Watt from the Texans is a trip.

Yup. They all get as good as they give. It's part of the game. And really, who doesn't like to see smug ass Brady eat a little humble pie?
