I can't stand him calling an Eagles game but ya know, he HAS been hit in the head a lot..... I don't like it but I understand.

All four home teams lost.
Well, there were some VERY BAD and Very Good Divisions this year. I mean, is anyone surprised that the Texans and Redskins tanked it? The AFC South and NFC East were embarrassing this year. I'm just glad that AFC South sucked so much that the East wasn't the least, lol.
When are you going to give us your take on Coughlin possibly going to the Iggles? Or have I missed a page?
Redskins were up 11-0 and looking good at home til the Pack adjusted and went to the running game. Nice adjustment Pack, your run game won that contest.
Vikings had that game locked up, then the Seahawks had the broken play where Wilson didn't handle the hiked ball, which totally changed the game. Instead of losing 15 yards they damn near scored a TD.
Hoyer was simply horrific, no words.

I'm thinking O'Brien isn't the QB guru that everyone made him out to be.
It's one thing to work with Tom Brady and look like a genius, it's another to work with Hoyer, Mallett, and Weeden and tell them "well, this is how Brady does it", which is pretty much what I saw on "Hard Knocks" between the slow motion montages of a sweaty JJ Watt that made up most of the series....
Oh, that's too precious. I doubt he comes to the 9ers though. More likely he goes to the Iggles. I think he fits better with Lurie than Jeddy-bear.
He stepped down. One year left on the contract. There may be a non-competition clause in the contract that kicks in if he leaves of his own accord. My bet is that it's a formality though it may influence his joining the Iggles...hmmm...maybe I should rethink him coming to the 9ers.

There isn't a lot to say right now. Coughlin stepped down under pressure from management. We wanted to give the old man every opportunity to maintain grace in the face of it. The players and the fans are all kind of pissed and want to know why it wasn't the GM who was held accountable as we are blaming bad roster more than bad coaching for our failures. The Giants owned rights to TC for another year and when the Eagles asked, we gave him permission to speak with them, again, not trying to get in the old man's way.
If they do hire him, which would be a classic Philly maneuver, it puts us in a very bad position, because a lot of push is for the team to keep the same DC and OC, moving one to HC position now. That would mean we would be playing them twice a year with the system Mean Grandpa built. The fans are all kind of horrified and pleading him not to join the enemy out of respect for our history together. The question remains about what type of fit it would be IF he did in fact hold a grudge against the Mara/Tisch organization, which would be unusual, but no t outrageous in these circumstances.
I'm still (along with most of the big blue crew) crossing my fingers with hopes that they fire Reese and rehire Coach, but odds are slim. I kind of hope the old man goes down to run Tampa Bay and see if he can do it again in Florida, but honestly, Miami would have been a perfect fit.

The Niners and Eagles are both essentially total rebuilds at this point and I don't think Coach is trying to do a ground up run for his last hurrah. I think Tampa Bay, with a franchise QB in place already, is probably a better fit.

Word is not a lot of established coaches are willing to work for the Glazer family, given the the way they launched not only Lovie Smith, but going back to to Tony Dungey. Gruden deserved to get canned, he let JaCarcus Russell's Raiders beat his Bucs at home....
