Yeah, that is the fit issue. Coughlin doesn't want a full rebuild like the Niners or Eagles and I don't think we has any interest in relocating to the West coast. Part of my concern for Philly is he can just keep living in Joisey.

My guess is he appeals and its lowered to one game. the league has to look at Joey Porter's behavior. If he isnt suspended atleast a game, I'll have lost all respect for the NFL front office.

The story so far, is that they flagged Burfict for his contact with an official, not with Porter.
If they maintain that position, I could see a fine for Porter, but nothing good for Burfict.

I think after the Odell/Norman incident on Prime Time, the League is being hyper sensitive to this shit right now, so a repeat offender like Burfict will probably get hung out to dry, but I wouldn't be surprised if the fine is reduced. Teams that play ugly should probably all consider themselves on notice these days though.

it sucks that a coach can go out on the field, talk a bunch of shit, then get the players to respond to him in a way that cost them at least 15 yards, if not the game. joey porter is a punk ass.

He should have been flagged as well, imho. It was obvious he wasn't just out there to "look after his injured player."
BTW, am I the only person that thought that particular game was one of the most volatile games ever seen? Man, my adrenaline was pumping thinking the whole place was gonna bust open, including the fans. Wow, what a game. Not great football, but great drama and spectacle. Those were some very angry big giant men out there. Sheeyit.

No, not in terms of offsetting Burficts penalty. Those are two separate incidents. I have no problem with the burfict penalty.
Joey Porter has been a problem all season. At the game at Pitt he was yelling and cussing bengals players from the sideline. That's ridiculous. In the regular season game at cincinnati, prior to the kickoff, the Bengals defense Co asked him to not talk to the players on the bengals team, and they wouldnt talk to him. Then Porter starts his shit again, and actually walked onto the field in that game. Same thing again in the playoff game. It's not the kind of behavior the game needs from coaches.
