These freakin' German engineers

When I emerged from beneath my E46 after replacing the control-arm bushings, I looked & felt like the above photo, right side -- all tore up. :twofinger BMW!

^ German cars are not meant for USA's shitty roads.

yeah .. fixed
:flag

I think maybe the interstates in Massachusetts were better than most other roads (but in the cities was still bad), but everywhere else seems similarly crappy to me

That's why my daily driver is an F150 and my wife's is a 4Runner. Fuck yo potholes CalTrans :twofinger

so basically you're giving private money enriching private companies b/c the public infrastructure is shabby? Or is it you're 'funding public infrastructure' ?

so.. back to the point.. we don't need the M3 at all here in the USA??

I'll have to drive it to believe it. The torque numbers at low RPM are impressive. If they can achieve that with immediate throttle response, I could be in the market for an M4.

well go drive it then, I'd love to hear the report. I think you're in for an awakening how well European turbos work. The cars are meant to move, immediate response from the clutch in a geared transmission.. not for avoiding potholes with a slushbox-car

p.s. the newest MINI .. has 1 or 2 turbos on the lowest level engine. Cuz it's gonna have way fewer cylinders and displacement. And I think BMW developed that engine too.

In still waiting to see a M3 /M3 beat a Civic in fuel economy.

The best 2013 M3 is 20 MPG average.

My buddy with a 2012 m3 gets in the 16-18mpg range. Cool car. Looks nice and is pretty fast. Not much bottom end.

It might help fuel economy driving without the power button on, short shifting like a grandma.:barf

I don't know anybody who drives an M3 without the power button on, and I don't know anybody who drives an M3 without a lead foot.

If you want fuel economy, the Prius dealership is that way ----->:rofl

The best I've ever achieved was 16.4mpg, the worst was 4.2 (Thunderhill)

I think it should be noted that you can't (or shouldn't) drive a stock civic around a racetrack.:cool

There are not many cars which depreciate faster than a 7 series...

no germans for me. i've owned enough of them to never forget the smell of G12 coolant and pentosin fluids.

i'll stick to my jack of all trades, master of MOST...vette.

lol, someone asked me what kind of milage my fast car got. My response, "I don't know and I don't care"

Do dudes really use cars to get sex? Weird.

No shit. :laughing

I guess if you're super fat or just a dweeb or something, that shit works. I dunno, never had to resort to that. :party

As for the M3/4... I'm sure it'll hit great fuel economy numbers.... if you don't drive it like an M3/4! :D Plus, with the purchase cost, tire cost (if you don't drive like a complete pussy), maintenence cost, who gives a flying shit about the fuel economy? :laughing
