Things you miss pre internet days

When I was in junior high I carried around a picture of Kathy Ireland in my wallet. So cringe worthy :laughing

In practice, rape culture starts when we say "when girls dress like that, boys can no longer control themselves." The boys hear that too.

Weird that women who are attracted to other women can still manage to control themselves, regardless of what the women are wearing.

Why is that?

I miss pizza hut. Everything now is conveyor belt cardboard. A thick, cold slice of pan pizza where the grease had solidified in the fridge was the best breakfast ever.

:laughing Well, I think the same kind of dudes who say shit like that probably aren't very aware the LGBT Community exists.

Hopefully it was a two door with a manual and the M contour wheels, such a sweet car, especially in that color.

Yeah, it was all that. I bought it from the original owner, Mark Foster, AFM fast guy.

One time he passed me at Sears, turn 11, at the turn in point. I watched him through the apex, scraping plastic and shit. It was pretty spectacular.

The shit you get to see on the track is cool.

Catalogs / Newspapers / Magazines. Certainly some are still around, but not many.

The "here and now" being more important than whatever your phone is telling you is important.

Research. Yes, I like figuring things out, and the internet makes it easier (most of the time) which removes a lot of the challenge.

Misinformation. Too much, too often, no accountability.

Cheers zd:cool

Service Merchandise Catalogs. I used to look through these before Christmas wishing at all the toys I wanted as a kid.

Sears catalog’s mini bike section was my “go to” after the brassiere section

We got a catalog from Montgomery Wards not too long ago. Wasn't ours, address was wrong but...

"Look a catalog."

"From Montgomery Wards!"

2 things we thought were long dead.

(Mind we get all so sort of "little" catalogs, boutiques, clothes, etc. just not "Sears Wish Book" kinds of things.)

Dude, I knew of ONE kid who had the G.I. Joe Aircraft Carrier when I was in grade school. That shit was like some kind of magic holy grail, I never even saw one unpacked in person.

It was a legend in my childhood. Never saw one. But pray to God to this day that I will see one in this god damned lifetime. Without dreams, wtf are we?

:laughing That shit was like 7' by 3'. It wasn't a toy, it was a major piece of furniture in your house. I am dreadfully curious how many they ever sold.
