I need a throttle body syncing tool for this weekend ASAP, does anyone have one for sale locally, want to rent one, or just let me borrow it(with deposit if necessary)??? HELP! :teeth :teeth

1 set which is 4 gauges. It is the same tool you use for carb synch.

So is it mandatory to have 4 guages hooked up at once, or can you do one by one(sorry newb at this)

only if it's a 4cyl.. heh.. kidding.. anyway, yes it'd be a pain in the ass to have to shut the motor off, switch hoses and then do it again and again.

You can make your own manometer if your feeling :nerd -ie

The Motion pro tool is 100 bucks at the store.. It's a nice tool...

You can borrow mine but I'll be out of town this weekend.

The reason you use 4 gauges at once is because every time you adjust 1 screw you change the vacume in the other throttle bodies/carbs in relation to the others.

You need to see all 4 at once to know what that relationship is... ie: the term syncronization....

Ideally you calibrate all 4 gauges to the #1 carb(generally not connected to the #1 cylinder and is usually connected to cyl #2 or #3)... The #1 carb is the one all of the rest are tuned against....

I think I'm going to try this, I have 1 vacuum guage and just don't want to spend $100 on a real guage, or have to reassemble bike and take it somewhere.

So which carb is #1? Assuming over cylinder #1?

starts left to right.. 1234>

left two get synced, then right two then center screw brings banks in sync together.

BIg overdue thanks to Ironbutt for inviting me over to sync my throttle bodies. Not only did I show up late but I ended up having a bad valve cover gasket leak. He helped me get my bike all sorted out, got the throttle bodies all synched up, and even fed me and gave me BEER!! Real genuine guy who just wants to help fellow riders out. :thumbup When I left my bike was running like never before. He found a bunch of little details that I had overlooked. Thanks again

Did my Valve adj and Manual CCT install myself and it came out right on the money. Give me some props! lol
