Trackday upgrades

Thank you everyone for suggestions! Suspension is definitely is first on my list, and looks like I would have to do forks as well (I didn't get all the upgrades at once, more like off-season thing). As for brakes, I've upgrade to braided lines on front, rear is still stock (I didn't use rear that much, almost never).

As someone asked about my fitness - it's not that great, 33% of fat (according to my weights), strength wise I think I'm okayish, but I need to loose probably 30lbs at least.

As for instructions it's on my list as well, hope to attend to one of Ken Hill's schools in September.

I good chair for the pits.......one wide enough to sit in with leathers and helmet on, reclines and has a little table attached. I have a Zero Gravity for a pit chair that does all this and it has been really enjoyed at the track.

Nothing like putting your feet up, taking a nap while being serenaded by bikes on track.

+1
Truth ! :zzzz :laughing

Ahhh the race to "A" pace...

Lots of good advice above. I'd add that like a lot of moto related stuff, the journey is most of the fun. Don't forget to relax a little and have fun as you work your way to faster. You're paying for it, after all. Super easy to get stuck in race face mode and suck the fun out of your track days....

I think you will have many tears if you think your street bike is going to survive all the way to A-group without major major damage to the plastics, turn signals and the rest. Same with a suit that isn't track worthy.

I was heavy when I started on the track. Your under-sprung rear shock can make you crash when you get fast enough to test it in the corners. I was bottoming mine out at T-hill, my first trackday. Lame forks will slow you down and can also lead to woes.

Take care of whatever suspension woes you are experiencing and then invest in yourself with proper coaching.
