TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

I watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare last night. Liked it a lot and to my surprise my wife like it as well. I know it's older but it was on my had to watch it list but got forgotten about then it popped up on Paramount+ so it got watched as I had 2 hours to kill.

Based on a few good men in British military units. A few chuckles sprinkled throughout. I had to look up the main badass’s military history.

Avatar 3(? I think?) is supposed to be on Disney today. Something like 3:40 long.

Has anyone seen this movie? I don't know anyone who's seen it. Nobody talks about it at least.

Probably take me two weeks to get through it all.

Last night we watched Harlan County, USA. Released in 1976, it documents the 1973 Brookside mine strike in which striking miners faced threats of violence, actual violence, squalid conditions, and greedy corporations. Was quite an interesting watch.

Serious. Yes I am an individual who considers himself to be of above average intelligence (they tested me, so I’m going with it), and I do in fact watch that low hanging fruit of television. Jersey Shore, Housewives, whatever…I’ll mentally go into low power mode and watch that shit.

Seems like those shows are purely emotional displays requiring zero thought, no need to power down. The drama inherently overrides thinking entirely. Kind of the point IMO

Suits. not sure why I didn't watch this when it came out but its been great so far.

I enjoyed the first couple seasons, but the lack of a law degree became this absurd McGuffin at a certain point and the writing suffered greatly for it.
