TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

Hail Mary was a disney-sweet feel good kids movie with great CGI and a good lead actor.
My early teen enjoyed it, there wasn't much to it for me

not that you don’t get a healthy dose of stimulation on an ongoing basis, but it seems your inner child could use a roll in the clover. like a good back scratch. simple. but it just feels good.

and yeah, ryan is great.

For all you anime fans, there’s a new Ghost In The Shell that just came out of the 7th. What impresses and terrifies me with this prescient anime series is that several of the philosophical, economic, sociological, ethical problems that a.i. technology presents was already being depicted in the 1990s! I truly believe that Ai induced psychosis is going to get worse, cyber-informational warfare will further escalate the chasm between us, deepfakes will further force us to stay embedded in our bubbles, etc. One especially poignant episode had a country using ai to pull a destructive attack on another countries economy that took only minutes to execute. The imagination of mangakas are way ahead of their times.

Saw "Sheep Detectives". Was a fun, lightweight movie.

I was scarred by the treatment of the winter lamb. Almost didn’t make it thru the movie.

Ok. Taking that one off the list. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I can hardly watch nature shows anymore.

Oh good heavens.

The "scene", if I'm thinking about the same thing, is that the Winter Lamb is, apparently, a lamb born during the winter, rather than the spring. Because of that, the flock, as a generic "rule", shuns the lamb. That's basically it. No violence, no nothing.

It's a lightweight story about a shepherd who is murdered (off screen), and the sheep themselves, talking sheep talk to each other (they can't talk to people), who do the bulk of the investigation to find the killer.

It's a PG movie.

It's just a fun little movie.

Helen Mirren is great when she’s evil! She’s great no matter what she does, though. Have you seen The Good Liar? We watched The Debt a few nights ago. She was also great in Woman In Gold.

Apple has a couple great shows currently dropping weekly. We’re now about halfway through the second season of Sugar and the third season of Silo.

Hidden Figures. John Glenn Mercury launch. Very cool. Brilliant woman. True story.
