And the "protesters" really gained a lot of public sympathy attacking police officers. How about not acting like criminals? :|

People who attack police are not police brutality protesters. They're just violent assholes.

It wasn't about standing out like a sore thumb, there's more to it than that but I won't let facts get in the way of a good story



I did have a funny conversation with another one of our UCs that was talking about all the people coming up to him warning him about UCs in the crowd and bragging about how they could spot them easily
 
Besides that I have contrarian's love of irony, that protesters are trying to detect and police undercover cops, ultimately I feel the issue is that there is a wide personal gap between cops and who they are supposed to protect.

If cops were able to empathize more, they could blend in easier.

Of course, there are cops that do get it, and can fit in

The funny thing is this whole week we've had a huge outpouring of support from the public. People calling the office, writing letters, talking to us at coffee and lunch of even a quick word at a stoplight.


Everyone is fed up with these 'protestors' bullshit. The public doesn't want you here

HI, what are you providing this country thats saving it? Aside from basically saying all government and cops are terrible and it should be a Lord of The Flies scenario.

His attitude which manifests here is harmful to democracy. It's neither his job nor his place to argue with citizens as a representative of law enforcement. That he cannot grasp that shows just how out of control he is.
 
i actually REALLY enjoy seeing what a LEO has to say about issues that come up here on teh BARFz. guys like Rel offer a unique perspective, one that most of us dont get experience with.... I, unfortunately, am not one of those people - as I deal with similar shit as he does! :laughing :cry


there are a lotta things that your average Joe just doesnt understand the complexity, and difficulty of; and how some situations/people, leave you will little to no options when dealing with them. Citizens that dont have to manage these difficult people, dont understand what its like - AND THEY NEED TO if there is going to be any real progress in society - we must first identify and understand the issue at hand. A lot of people want to blame the LEO/person-of-authority, when really, they are just the chump that has to respond to deal with someone/something, when NO ONE ELSE CAN OR WILL .........

i'll leave it at that......

glad you quote Thauken on that one, cuz i didnt read the whole thread and missed his post. now that i've read it, you all can bet your bottom dollar that from now on until this shit blows over, i'm going to thank every single LEO I come accross- they need as much positive reenforcement from the public as they can get, and i'm happy to give it to them
