Undercover CHP at protests, locked and loaded?

sooo...what are the protestors if not the public??

Exactly. The 500 people protesting in Oakland represent the feellings and opinions of the rest of Oakland. :laughing

I've put maybe 7 people on my ignore list since I joined BARF. Five of them have been perma banned. The other two I took off the list. I put HI back on, and I suspect he'll last a while before but eventually people will realize that you become who you interact with, and nobody wants to become any crazier than they are.

I sympathize with some of the positions, but there are enough cluelessly stupid, and loud people protesting to effectively squash any hope for change.

Elmer Gantry (spelling?) and Lester Green are the only fart whistles on my ignore list, Elmer because, well, yeah 'nuff said; and Lester b/c he personally has attacked me here on BARF several times, and by mod request I have put him on ignore :laughing

I've called you out because you're an ignorant racist. See my sig line for a refresher genius. :thumbup

BTW, just a little history lesson. Corky cried to teh Barfs that be and made me delete his name from my sig line and link the thread because he was so proud of what he said.

The protesters who think it's "justice" to block people from getting to work/home, or the hospital (not to mention looting stores and damaging/burning property) are worse of a plague than the message they are trying to get across. They do NOTHING to help their "cause".

The funny thing is this whole week we've had a huge outpouring of support from the public. People calling the office, writing letters, talking to us at coffee and lunch of even a quick word at a stoplight.

Everyone is fed up with these 'protestors' bullshit. The public doesn't want you here

Im not surprised by this. I think most people are fans of cops.

Some of them live clearly live in a bubble and don't realize the majority of folks think they're just idiots. And ironically, the more shit they do, the more the majority want it handled by police. :loser

I'm a fan of my sanitation engineers too. Do you want garbage in your backyard or have to drive to the dump on a regular basis?

hey ive said it a million times, the sanitation people are the heroes of our entire society. from sewage to garbage, these people are fucking saints IMO

that being said im on a septic and drive to the dump lol

good example, Dragon!

cuz cops, sanitation engineers - both of 'em take out the trash

:laughing :rofl

I think most cops would agree. They are the janitors cleaning up the problems.

Unless you read CNN or ABC News. It seems everybody there, absolutely hates cops, and will not call them under any circumstances. I'm sure it's just a vocal minority demographic, but the sympathy they seem to give the criminal element, such as Micheal Brown, is unbelievable. I get the idea that they want to let the criminals, do anything they want to do, without repercussions (as long as they are a minority). Even the one guy here, that says that everyone that doesn't agree with him and his hatred for cops, is a pig, is almost unbelieveable. I just can't imagine what happened to them to make them this way.

from what I see everyday - the teaching comes from a VERY young age; and its more of a culture problem than it is a race problem

I dated a woman once who called the police "Pigs". I made a point of telling her how incredibly naive and inappropriate it was. And yes, it's cultural, she was very liberal, both her parents were members of the communist party, in the forties through the sixties. They were also union activists. I like both of them. We had some interesting discussions. Her dad was a lieutenant of Harry Bridges. Scary big dude too. I was skert of him when he was in his seventies.
