Yes, I am looking for good vegan gloves. Please keep your anti-vegan comments to yourself. I do understand that many leather products offer better protection. I also know that there are many excellent non-leather alterative for motorcyclist, such as an Aerostich or some Sidi boots. Gloves have proven the most difficult find. While there are many I have tried there are few that I like, and most of these are summer gloves. Therefore, I ask you if you have any suggestions for vegan gloves.

held makes a glove with diamond cloth in it, I don't think theres leather, but I forget the name of it, Krypton I think

what's the matter?

Mmmmmm. Tofurkey.

I don't know other than waterproof winter gloves and summer weight cordura/mesh gloves what you can find that isn't leather.

Petroleum products are made from animals :D

Nearly impossible, if not completely impossible to find any completely 100% textile gloves that aren't also completely worthless in terms of protective value. Some winter versions made with Cordura, perhaps, or Kevlar glass handling gloves maybe.

Keep it on topic, this is general, not the kitchen sink.

If you have nothing constructive to say, don't say it...

First thank you I know how fast a thread can fill with bull. (pun intended)

I have been to that webpage; is has not been updated in some time and knowing the advancements in leather alternatives I thought that there may be new offerings.

This is exactly the type of bull I politely asked you not to post. Really, keep it to yourself. I do not like to wear leather yes I am a vegetarian aside from that I hate the smell of leather especially on my hands. Heated grips only make it worse like having a Bar’b’Q while I ride.

Clarino is a syntheitc and now often used, but no info on it's efficacy or relevance in terms of protective value. Real leather is usualy found somewhere on a pair, regardless, unless they are dirt-riding-specific or real cheap and disposable.

With fabrics such as Lorica and Clarino I would think that there would be more options. Many gloves already contain some fake leather and as well as many of the new summer gloves being full synthetic. . There are many high quality completely vegan boots. I am not sure why there are so few good glove options.

Most sythentic outer boots are lined with real leather too. Leather has definite advantages there too, but Lorica has become good enough and inexpensive enough to find some acceptance.

It's lether that is dyed or infused with ceramic polymers during the tanning process. I think it's a Pittard's material or process, iirc, like Armortan or WR(Water Repellent) leathers ,which you will also often see in gloves.

I know this sounds a bit rediculous, but perhaps you could wear two pairs of synthetic gloves sown together, a lighter one inside, and a slightly bulkier one outside.

Try first gear

their mesh tex gloves are a mesh/clarino blend. But I would call them and double check. I've been fooled before. I don't eat meat either, but do not mind leather. So, I'm not in the same situation as you. I did look around when I was trying to be a little more cruelty free. If you want other gear, I'd suggest motoport for suits (site SUCKS but product is great). For boots Sidi mainly uses Lorica, but again I'd call to double check.

first gear mesh-tex gloves

Only other pair of gloves I've come across that have no leather in them are a pair of Rev'it H2O ultra gloves. The pair I've got are not the common leather ones but the double layered textile version with the wrist drain. These were on discountinued closeout at scuderia around a year ago.
