Walking Dead Season 4 (spoilers)

(Spoiler!)

Well on next weeks preview they show hom out of the hole and talking to Martinez so it seems the apocalypse is giving everyone a soft side.

Daryl sometimes has a full leather jacket on under his vest. I don't think walkers could get through some good leathers..

Why is nobody making chainmail? Zombies can't bite through chainmail.
Just a thought.
Well, I was commenting to my mechanic friend that I have yet to see one screen or bar welded across a window.

I would imagine any adventure van with high clearance would be fine to live in during the apocalypse.

But even if you were head to toe in kevlar or chainmail, what happens when 50 zombies pile on you?

Anyway, I have a thing for the Governor's new lady, ever since she was in The Unit. I am a little sad she is with the Governor, but I am glad they survived. I thought the grandfather was going to do them all.

Shouldn't all the nuclear reactors have melted down by now and the world just be populated by glowing mutant zombies?

Well I figured the radiation would kill them eventually and then they'd just turn.

It would be a cool spinoff if the zombies' minimal biological functions were enhanced by mutations and have this be the ancient back story for a futuristic race of super immortals living in peace.

I enjoyed that episode. It was great to see what the Gov has been up to. Also, it's nice to get a break from the Emo Sheriff. I like the whole new character development of the Gov. It will be interesting to see if Martinez treats him with respect or disdain. Also, they seemed to let out a few secrets during Talking Dead. They said "when they get to the prison".

It looks like next week will be another Gov episode as well.

Holy shit the Governor is now the star of the show! That episode was so much better than any in recent memory. Really nice character development, well done writers. :thumbup

Not necessarily. Power plant control rooms are highly secure so as long you could avoid allowing an infected, you could hold up inside a plant better than a jail or a walled-in town.

And despite the very famous nuclear leaks, I bet there are plenty of safeguards which will shut down a plant automatically.

make a real good locking weave out of 1K pound test monofilament. Or even stronger stuff. Sure it'll be stiff, but light and strong enough to keep a small shark on the hook, it'll be more than enough for zombie jaw bite strength. :)

and it'll never rust.

first two books of this series:

http://www.amazon.com/Day-Armageddon-J-L-Bourne/dp/1439176671

radioactivity does not kill zombies. what it does is kill the microbes that would cause them to decay. Makes them perfectly preserved and radilogically dangerous.

Also handles swarms better. Not just thousands, but millions strong. and more than one swarm. Makes "herds" look tiny.

the third book jumps the shark a bit. the first two were great tho.

For anyone that likes to read, there is a "trilogy" of novels based on The Governor, written by Robert Kirkland. Rise of the Governor, The Road to Woodbury & Fall of the Governor are pretty good. So far I've only finished the first two and the last book was broken up into two parts, only part one has been released. The first book gave a really great background story on The Governor but is in conflict with the TV Governor. Still a great read though.

Ahhh, the Guv has a soft side. BUT his lies will catch up to him!

That was quite a turn for his character. He was an unmitigated monster towards the end of the last season, I'm having a hard time accepting his touchy freely remorseful side.

All great ideas if you had time to prep for the Zombie apocalypse.
As a species, we're going to look rather stupid to future alien archaeologists if after all this forethought we do succumb to a zombie apocalypse.

Problem with this theory is that it assumes the problem is confined to America. Never mind Canadian or Mexican zombies.

Spoiler Alert! Shits about to get real!

Finnnaally caught up from season 1 to now in the last week .. LOL .. now comes the grind to wait for new episode every week.

It also assumes that every survivor is combat effective, and dismisses the difficulties likely associated with killing zombies in a densely populated area.

martinez is stupid...should have shot him right there, in the pit. but noooo! now he's dead and the fight for the prison will ensue as scheduled:thumbup

i'm also thinking that if they don't leave that place real soon, someone will find out about the guvna and his new aquarium.

I agree, even Martinez said so himself. He stated that he would not have pulled him out if it were not for the Girl. He has morphed back into the sick Gov. I wonder if the the Women will accept this new personality, or if they will see him as a monster? I wonder who that band of hooligans are? The ones who attacked that other camp.

I kept wondering when the Gov was going to kill the guy who was calling him; "One Eyed Bri". It's ironic, that's the guy he chose to let live.

The previews for next week look good!! I think it is the mid-season Finale. So, we'll be w/o WD for several months.
