Walking Dead Season 4 (spoilers)

The writers must be reading this thread! :laughing

I was wondering why they weren't using a 4x4 vehicle. I thought they had a few from before... now that I think about it, why haven't they tried to convert one of their rides into a post-apocolyptic, armor-plated, zombie-killing machine?!?!

There's a few things I'm wondering about. One thing that always bugs me just a little bit about zombie stuff is the suspension of disbelief in that nobody within the show has ever seen a zombie movie before or heard of anything like that. One thing I liked about Zombieland was they actually analyzed and learned and tried to be far more proactive in dealing with zombies rather than simply ratcheting up different methods of survival like in Walking Dead. So I'm waiting for Rick to mount a plow on the front of a 4x4 like the Escalade in Zombieland, specifically for dealing with hordes. I'm waiting for them to remember the Army 6x6 5-ton truck that the governor had that would run straight through that horde with no problems. Not particularly quickly, but effectively. Think about how high off the ground the truck is - anyone who's ever been through boot camp can attest to how much of a pain in the ass it is to get in and out of those things, and that's for normal people not zombies that can't climb.

NorCal-

You bring up some good points. I was always wondering about the vehicles that the Governor abandoned. They were pretty usefull, but I never saw them used by Rick and his group.

:rofl

Dammit, while watching the latest episode I bought today off Amazon, I did a web search because I forgot what the two characters Karen and David who got knifed and burned looked like in uncharred form. As I was reading the Wiki it said something like "killed and burned by Carol" and I was like NOOOOOOO there goes the surprise. :mad :laughing

Remind me to call you when the zombie apocalypse happens... :thumbup

I am wondering what the voice on the radio was. Should be an interesting development.

Also I wonder if Carol was acting alone or if the committee decided and she was just the one to do it. The reaction of the others has not seemed to be the case, but it could be.

Good point on Carol acting alone. Seems there's been some undercurrents of dissent in regards to leadership. Keep in mind they still don't know who's been feeding rats, and I have to wonder if the water pump fouling had anything to do with sabotage as well. If Carol did not act alone and the water pump WAS an act of sabotage, then perhaps there are multiple dissenting factions within the group each doing their own little thing while pretending to go along with the group as a whole. We've already seen snippets of this with the sick people as well.

Mike - if the zombie apocalypse happens, I'm heading for the nearest military base, stealing an M88A2, and heading north as fast as possible. I'll pick you up on the way out...

walking dead

and not TP or the items gals need once a month?

Rick needs to wake the fuck up. One minute he's wandering around playing with pig pens and refuses an easy task of hanging his gun off his hip, now he's banishing Carol for trying to save the group from disease?? What Carol did was kinda stupid and she should have consulted with the Council, but banishment is just stupid. Besides, Tyrese is out there trying to get himself bit anyways.

I thought Carol was very Shane-like in her response to killing the two sick people.

And I think she is going to do an Andrea and show up for the major plot twist/surprise.

Shane was pretty unhinged though. Carol is cold and methodical. I think she's dead inside :laughing

Lol those two randoms didn't last long!

:laughing

Did the male random get it or did he just run off with the watch to find a pawn shop? Or maybe his group to try to takeover the prison?

Definitely dead inside, but to banish one person for not seeking the council's advice, without seaking the council's advice is just setting up a slippery slope (gawd I hate that term). Be interested to see whether she appears later or not, maybe as governor barter???

Stupid talking dead, I turned it on for one second before I watched the episode and it spoiled the carol twist :rant

It was sad about the hippie girl Ana. She seemed very nice. So did her b/f. I hope he's enjoying his new watch.

Ricks decision was very much like that with Shane; !. Get him away from the group 2. Have the "Talk".

It was as though Carol knew it was coming. The way she spoke to the little girl- like she was not going to return.

I hope Tyrese gets his act together. I know that he can be strong, but he's being a liability right now.

I am sure Carol will show up again. Wondering about the dude, as he is definitely still alive. The show doesn't waste an opportunity to show a kill if it does actually happen. I am guessing we will see him, and possibly Carol again. Rick stupidly told him where the prison was...That was the dumbest thing I have seen yet. Why on earth would you tell him that?

It will be interesting to see Tyrese's reaction. Rick didn't exactly bring her to him...

I don't know how Ana survived as long as she did. If she can't outrun a few zombies, how do survive the hordes?

Also considering she is pretty fine and pretty clueless, you wonder where are the psychos in the wasteland?

I mean, where are those heavily armed teabagger types who have prepared their entire lives for the apocalypse? I bet a lot of them would not be so nice to two people who had to lock themselves in a bedroom because of one walker.

Yeah I got a weird vibe from those two as well. I couldn't understand how they made it this far. They must have had a big group.

Makes me wonder if Carol will come back as the leader of a new group of survivors later. Actually there was a lot of foreshadowing for that.
