What Are You Thinking Of Right Now?

on another note, it’s verbalized frustration on his part. pure and simple. the thing is, he may have gone full-on native, for a long time, but he knows 1,000% how to be the adult in the room. preceding history.

so here’s what i’m thinking - equal parts complicated, intense, and fascinating.

she and i have a lot in common.

I'm thinking there was a terrible car wreck in Marin this weekend, four young women ages 14-16 died. This leaves me thinking about loss, and how the Reaper is claiming more of my friends through natural causes and less from unfortunate events.

That was a particularly bad crash.
I know the area well.
The two that survived have a lot ahead of them.
They all are in my thoughts.

That certainly happens much more as we age. I could have been one of those that passed when I had my stroke at age 70. Another of my closest friends recently had a stroke in his 60’s and he also survived. And so far, all of my siblings are still alive and kicking. But before too long, I expect someone in my circle of friends and family will die. Hopefully it will be me as I’m the oldest.

I am thinking that conducting a group for the men in detention was lottsa fun. I was amazed how willing they were to engage.
I think today will be a long day for some reason.
Lastly, I am thinking about you and hope you are well today.

As the parent of a teen about to drive, (besides just being just a human with empathy) this is unfathomable horror.

I'm thinking I just ordered a set of Chinese made paneers for my, soon to be here, Chinese motorcycle. I'm thinking I am the consumer and the problem, but I remain happy with my purchase.

I think preparing to leave for 3 days has gotten so complicated. I'm sure I'll figure it all out though.

I am thinking how much I still prefer BARF to going out to socialize. Nice I can be disheveled and still hang out.
TY BARF!

I'm thinking about spending another day in pain, just trying not to move my neck. I've had more surgeries than anyone else I know, by far... but there's always another one around the corner. One failed part after another. They should have named me harley.

2525, if man is still alive…

I found this, my reason I can't live full time in Morro Bay.
They decided to do this two years ago, I guess the studies are complete.
Every summer, the Central Valley comes to the coast for cool air,
From Fresno to Bakersfield, Hwy 41 to Morro's, Main Street.
This 4 way, runs ok in the winter, getting thru, I can add myself and get three vehicle movements thru, as one. Summer, way too many visitors, not "UP" on timing, taking turns, paying attention.
It plugs up bad.

As my town of Truckee has gone all in on roundabouts all over, they are a mixed bag.

90% of the time they are great and all the locals understand how they work and we can just breeze right through. Much better than stop signs and stop lights.

But this being a tourist town, when town is full of visitors, (when traffic is at its peak around holidays) many of whom don't understand how the roundabouts work, it is absolutely bonkers to witness the chaos and confusion.

Also, I understand this is a beautiful area with lots of beautiful nature to look at, but JFC please don't drive 35-40 on the 55 mph posted highways, some of us have places to be.

They replaced a 3-way stop intersection that I've driven regularly most of my life, sometimes 4 times a day or more, with a traffic circle (in saranap, between wc and lafayette). I believe they did it to be trendy, as there was never a problem, other than moderate traffic when the high school let out. Then, to be even trendier, they put a huge piece of art right in the middle. #1- Why do we want art to distract drivers in an intersection? #2- Wouldn't it be wise to be able to look accross the traffic circle to see what's coming? #3- It's a mile away from a retirement community with plenty of drivers who could barely negotiate the regular intersection. I never remember an accident there. Since they "upgraded" to the circle, there's been a bicycle fatality and at least 3 serious collisions... and that's just the one's I've seen, I'm sure there's been more. That's what you get when you "fix" a problem that never existed.
