What did you start on? What do you ride?

started on a 92 Ninja 600D in 05. Rode on the permit till I bought the FJR 1300 in March 07. Took the MSF in April 07 and got the full M2. Rode the FJR to and from class and parked next to the instructors :)
 
GS five hunsky, the starter bike of choice before the Ninja 250 came along and cured cancer. I have other bikes, now.

I haven't seen that picture in a while - I can't believe I bought that cheap made-in-China helmet. It did its job, though; it gave its life for my head when I got hit by a left-turner, went over the hood, and slid into a curb. I replaced it with a Shoei.
 
Finally started riding proper in 2008 after completing MSF equivalent in the UK in 1999 shortly before I was exported...

2008 Ninja 250 (3k miles, 3 months-ish)

2007 Ninja 650 (15k miles, 2 years+)
\/ --------1981 Suzuki GS750 (3k miles ~ 3 months)
2006 BMW F650GS Dakar (4k miles so far, had it for ~6 months)
2008 CBR600RR (~1k miles so far, had it ~2 months)
 
Honda XR75 -> Yamaha YZ125 -> Yamaha Seca 650 -> long break -> BMW f650GS Dakar -> DRZ400SM -> Husqvarna 610SM and an SV650 is what I ride now.

OIk I never ride the SV, my neck can't handle it. I'll probably sell it this year.

Started on a Honda Mini Trail in the back parking log of a church, way back in the mid-70's. Later I started borrowing my friend's Yamaha Enduro and finally moved to buying a used Yamaha RD400 (with chambers). Took some time off, while going to school- then the bike got soggy and dilapidated. So I bought a new SV650S, which I've been riding ever since. Recently bought another one to tool on.

rode dirt bikes seldomly in middle/high school

bought gs500 in college. damn, can't believe already had it 3 years. (hardly rode it the first year cuz i was in a cast and then rehab for 8 months)

so i've had a gs500 for about 3 years. put about 8,000 miles on it in the twisties

been ready to upgrade for awhile, but my wallet is always catching up with my head
 
I started on a 2008 R6.. Taught myself to ride on youtube... hahaha, had a couple falls.. of course :) but im riding a 2010 R1 now, and absolutely loving it !

Started from 2006 with 04' Monster 620 Dark... after 7k miles sold it for 06' Ducati Sport Classic. After 18K miles on the Classic I put anther Duc in my grage - Streetfighter S. Crashed by deer at 5.5K mile a month ago, and the replacement has just arrived. Can't way to put tons of mileage on her!

Really miss my first bike!

Some minibike in '94 with unknown origins. Mainly had fun in the parking lots. :)

Fast forward to ten years later, I bought my first street bike ('01 SV650S)
 
Started on my buddies street fightered gsxr 750 back in 96. Stopped riding in 97 (family, then gf/fiancee). Started back up last year on a 600RR. 5k miles later, I'm looking for my next bike...
