What have you made lately?

i can't tell you what bruce used of course but i've used dye from Tap Plastics (black only so far, because that's all i've needed) and just about any epoxy can be tinted. both the little tubes of 5 minute epoxy from anyone (hurry!) and the bar top epoxy (all the time in the world) which are probably all the same if you follow the instructions. i've found Pro Marine products to be a good mix of economy and "enough reviews that i trust it"

Thanks! Will look into it... definitely not the "HURRY!" type cause that sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Sounds like you used the wrong color. :p

made me chuckle. thx for that :thumbup

i use the HURRY type for filling holes i know are going to let the Slow stuff run all over the place and eventually get covered over anyway (though you always miss some) or it has some utility for attaching handles to things that you didn't get the joint quite tight enough: a gap filled with epoxy looks a lot better than a gap filled with wood glue or clear epoxy or not filled at all.

I think this may need a separate thread :laughing

What kind of epoxy and dye do you use? I tried this once and it turned out like dogshit :laughing
Epoxy from Tap Plastics. They sell less than gallon containers
The pigment I got at Michaels.
There a lot of nice ladies shopping at Michaels, BTW.. :laughing

A big steel barge, sunk, and getting ready to be positioned underneath the house. Basically a floating foundation.
I was guessing something like that. :teeth

Nice to meet you, Hungry! :p

Those floating homes in Sausalito have shitty foundations that are falling apart and would eventually sink the home, so they make this giant steel bathtub and sink it, drag it under the home, then raise it and pump out the water. Someday it'd be great to get a thread on the entire process.

I made this out of real gold colored brass
:cool

Think she'll like it? :teeth

Now, I'm not a gemologist or anything so I just guessed at the angles, but I think it has too large a table :confused
