What have you made lately?

Thanks; I've changed them above. Can you see them now?
Yup see them now.

You have good taste in countertops looks just like mine....:teeth

Nice mirror there but might be a little small....

My mind is not working well this morning so am not seeing how the jig works....Do you run the whole jig on the stone and the chisel rides the incline?

Yes, that’s right. It will hold up for a while but some of the wood will get slowly abraded by the stone. I reprofiled the chisel bevel this time but subsequent sharpenings should not require many strokes. At some point I’ll just buy a Veritas jig.

made a spoon in hard maple on my porch

No machines, just a few edge tools and a saw to make a few stop-cuts. sitting on my porch, watching the weather and neighbors walk by.

The grain was a little swoopy and so i let the knife find its way.

I will share with the BARF community that i am worried about what will come next. but when i don't konw what to do, it is soothing to just let my hands do the thinking.

Can I bring my chisels by for you to practice on and perfect your technique with please? :)

sweet
i hope you have banjo music playing whilst on the porch, to keep the neighbors guessing.

did you make the hook knife?

bluegrass music was playing, so..banjo accompaniment :)

i did _not_ make the hook knife tho the manufacturer sells just the blades that you then behandle. would like to have gone that route (like my Mora blade above), but they were only had the handled ones in stock.

A work in progress - this is a drill press stand. Need to mount the drawer fronts and the top. The drawer fronts will be blue, the top natural with maple edging.

Now I cant see it :(

BBQ Island.

majority of the wood was reclaimed from my grandparents fence - their neighbor is starting a vineyard so they put up deer fence and tore down the regular wood fence.

bottle opener and J hook are from Mount Vernon. There's a working blacksmith still, when I took my kid to DC for his 8th grade trip we checked it out. Got the hook, bottle opener, and nails. He put those in.

It's not perfect. It should last though. Need some quality time with clear silicone to seal up some gaps lol

Floored more of the article and added some shelves to help with storage. These attics are large enough to make lofts which we did to my sisters townhouse when she lived across the street. I don’t want to spend the $15k to do it though.
