What say you, best BURGER in San Jose area?

Sorry - if the menu has a steak for $16 then there's no way I'm going to pay $16 for a burger. A $16 steak means the burger should be in the $9 range...

Agreed completely - I was being told in another thread elsewhere that $7.50 for a burger was outrageuos. I say FUUUU

Where are you buying a $16 edible steak at? Everywhere I go for a good steak is atleast $24

I have been looking for a Pastrami Burger, but I will almost settle for a good burger at this point. I have not found anything that I have liked. /QUOTE]

WTF is a pastrami burger? I am really interested!

+1. Clark's burgers are fantastic. My fave.

Hrm... pretty close to home... I've passed by this place a few times already... I'll have to stop by and try this place... :)

Clark's in Mt. view?

Just checked out their website. I've never been there. I'm gonna try it out. Thanks! :thumbup

Falafel stop is a staple and is awesome!

Clarkes in MT. View, I wasn't so pleased with their burgers.

So, I went to Clarke's today. I ordered the bacon burger. The patty was smaller than I expected. It was a decent burger, but I expected better. It might be because it's what I know, but I prefer the burgers at St. Johns.

Sorry about the focus issues.

But, the pleasant surprize were these little pieces of heaven. These beer battered mushrooms were so good!!! So much artery-clogging awesomeness in these little bite-sized morsels. :thumbup

Clarke's also has good shakes in which St John's doesn't. A good shake is vital for a complete cheeseburger experience.

Oh, and that little deli at the corner of Alpine Road and Portola has really good burgers and, a killer mocha shake.
