Motocross got my vote.. balance, endurance, strength.. extreme all body motor skills. Plus the mental strength to compete when hurt.

And... roadracing takes fitness :twofinger
Where if you get tired the result can be deadly..

:smoking

Rugby, no fuckin' question. Take all the physical conditioning of soccer, the brutality and coordination of Football and turn it into one game with no pads. Americans just don't realize.

Hockey

I have seen NHL players break a jaw, go put a face shield on their helmet and then get back out there for the next period. Also have herd stories of guys getting cut, going into the locker room and getting stitches with no novacane so that they can get back on the ice without the side effects.

Of course this was a few decades ago when hockey was less popular, I hope it is still the same though.

I still see guys do it today.

The game is a lil wussified compared to a while back but there are still some hardasses out there.

I blame the rule changes over the years for making hockey less tough. :x

One could make an argument for many different sports, I don't think that you can point to just one and say that is the one. There are incredibly gifted athletes in many of the sports and their strengths are different for each.

If you are talking power-to-weight, then for whole-body I'd go with Wrestlers but for specific body parts I'd go with Rock Climbers, some of who have absolutely incredible power in their fingers and incredible body tension power.

If you're talking eye/hand coordination, some of the hockey players do some amazing things but the same could be said for other sports.

I would put Isle of Man Race motorcycle racers and free solo (ropeless) rock climbers in the category of performing under extremely dangerous circumstances, talk about performing under pressure!

motocross has been proven to be one of, if not the most, physically demanding sports. Try racing a 25 lap main, or a 2 hour cross country race and you'll find out.

Swimming. Full-body muscular workout, combined with a brutal cardio regime.

Good one. I've seen some water polo guys that are incredibly fit, and they were in High School.

"moto road racing, a sport that does not require fitness or risk management" - LOL @ Greg! :loco

Porn starts to hurt my back after the 3rd retake....I don't know how Holeshot has managed to stay in the business for so long. :D

MMA fighters. Tons of cardio, weights, fighting of all types, etc. At least until they get their asses beat too many times, then they turn dumb like retired boxers. :laughing

Yeah, I suppose that when you have to arch your back more for a better camera angle it must be tough on the spine. :laughing

Now for a guy, they just have to lift their legs higher and change the angle so it's not so much wear and tear on the body. :cool

Boxers. Not overweight heavyweights but welterweights and other weight regulated classses. These guys are in phenomenal shape.
