I've had my run in with mods. They serve their purpose here, and the do a hell of a fucking job doing it. Not to mention NO PAY, NO BENEFITS... You guys want to have a site where you feel in control, go start your own.

i dont have a problem with him moving the chit-chat thread... i wasnt the one who started that thread... i dont have any problem with him deleting my threads.... but my threads are harmless, he took it personal and got about it.. After seeing pics from your rides, how you act on this site. My conclusion and personal opinion would be; Your bringing this shit upon yourself. I'd do a bit of growing up and stop throwing a damn temper tantrum on the internet.

Enchanter did the right thing and shut it down AFTER telling them they should take it PM's, etc.

I have had very little direct interaction with Enchanter. I don't frequent the forums he moderates, and I don't typically respond to things he writes. My negative opinion of him is based on what he says to other people in General and the Sink.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he has a rude and arrogant attitude problem. I will certainly agree with Holeshot on this one, he is most certainly consistent!

People can cite all the great things he does for motorcycling and in the end it doesn't change the fact that there are lots of other people that do the same things but do not have the attitude and general lack of respect for people that he does. Hell, just look at what his defenders have to say about his attitude in this thread.

Anti as far as I know the rule of thumb has always been the same for everyone, whether they are mod, super-mod, or the newest member on the board. Don't flame, don't act like an ass. If you have a problem with someone, take it up with them, if you aren't comfortable doing that, contact Budman. This does not come from me as a Mod, this has always been made explicit by Budman since day one of him taking over the board and for the entire time I've been here, I've never felt there was anything ambiguous or unclear about it.

Its clear to you because you've been here forever. It's clear to me because I've been there done that, pissed people off and learned how to behave the hard way.

It's not clear to people who are new to Barf, new to motorcycling or new to internet forums in general. So let's fix that.

TeaCake & supporters have been here >6 mos. and hang out in group rides - he is the new generation of self-absorbed postwhores so how would he know shit or where to look for it? Not by having a handful of PO'd mods jump down his throat.

He won't learn much by getting banned for a week. It could be that this particular kid is just a douche but still: Make the rules clear for ALL and put them in an Obvious Place. Keep expectations low for the newbies and you are less likely to be disappointed by them on a regular basis.
