Why does Toyota not build motorcycles?

Mistsubishi is a heavy industry company as well, I think, and they don't make motorcycles either.
They actually did. Well, they only made scooters AFAIK. They called their scooter line the Silver Pigeon"

i believe mitsubishi got smarter and decided to become to finance institution so you can buy a toyota, yamaha, honda, nissan, kawasaki, etc...

Toyota Yamaha....

DOnt all yall know about the Yamaha-Ford connection?

Yam does more than motos.

2000GT and a lot of their engines. 1JZ, 2JZ, 4AGE, so on...

I had 1Js in both of my Supras. YAMAHA is on the cam cover.

Yamaha used their 5 valve tech in the later 4AGEs. etc etc. Outside of those, Yamaha does the heads on a lot of Toyota engines.

Tell me more.:|

Most of?

Kawasaki is the only one that has traditionally been called "Heavy Industries", being in the ship building and airdraft industries.

Toyota and Nissan have always been car makers, dating back to well before WWII.
Suzuki was a company that built looms, and Yamaha built pianos.

Honda is the new company out of the four, and is the only one that actually started out making motorcycles.

Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki were trying to rebuild war-ravaged factories, and began making motorcycles to help feed the post-war demand for cheap transportation in Japan, which is also how Honda got started.

Toyota and Nissan resumed making what they knew best; cars and trucks.

I thought kawi was heavy because they built trains. Lots of trains for the world. Toyota was originally a loom company as well. All of them do other things as well. Yamaha is obvious but Toyota does flowers and mitsu does eggs.

I want Toyota to stick a Prius-based engine in a little 2WD Tacoma, for a motorcycle-haulin' truck that gets 40 mpg. BUILD IT! :p

It's called a diesel hilux Zerox. They build them everywhere and they carry the world's freedom fighters and more, much more. Sadly they are not currently avaliable in America and it will probably remain that way for a while.
