I feel for an assistant director he's kept in the dark a lot.

Is he also handling normal kidnappings and the other federal crimes the FBI normally handles?
 
First episode was awful. Comically bad. I was doing a Mystery Science Theater 3000 voice over the whole time watching it. Dialogue was terrible, acting was terrible, as if they hadn't acted since the last episode of the original. Second episode was marginally better. Enough that I'll at least watch the beginning of the third. If they hadn't brought the smoking man back, I'd bag on it now.

BTW, that limo scene in the first episode was probably the worst thing I've seen on television in 20 years, excluding reality TV of course.

I'm with you 100%. Only gave the second episode a chance because of what it used to be. And the movies were actually pretty good as well. Second episode was pretty close to center of what the old show was.

Tonight's episode was strange. Not at all expected.

X files would occasionally do goofy almost absurd episodes I wonder if they were doing that
 
Enjoyed last night as well. The whole skepticism role reversal tween Mulder/Scully is comical. And the campiness of last nights episode fit it well.
