You thought the bums on Haight Street were bad...

My bums are so much more turnt than your bums. My bums go hard in the paint! Lord knows I don't advocate bum on bum violence but I'm pretty sure our bums could whip your bums mangy matted asses.

Here's an edited picture of a comical situation that I walked by last Sunday. This is one block off of Haight street. Not shown in the picture are the numerous peaceful gatherers just behind me with 420 and open containers. I'm somewhat new to the area, so I was surprised to see naked people walking around and others smoking cannabis openly, but they left the peaceful people alone and tossed the one's causing problems. The cops seem pretty nice here.

My encounters with SF police have all been pretty positive, thus far. They could have ticketed me for something dumb that I did right in front of them, and they chose not to. They just told me to be safe.

What really bugs me it that if I went out and rode with them, I'd get caught and thrown in jail. I've considered doing a bunch of BS stuff in SF, and I might have even covered a little ground on the sidewalk when traffic was getting sooper stoopid, but I'd get tossed in jail for that stuff for sure.

Why would you be tossed in jail, and they wouldn't? If you're not mad at what they're doing, just that you can't do it ... you might be a hater.

There's a faint hint of white insecurity and a whiff of racism in this thread.

Not saying what the folks in the video are doing is socially acceptable, but equating them to "thugs" and "bums" is tantamount to bigotry.

I'm not an advocate for violence or using a vehicle as a weapon, however if a couple of these goombas got knocked off by citizens in vehicles that happened to forget which was the brake and which was the accelerator pedal, I wouldn't feel bad. The lawlessness in my home city of SF is gross.

You assume all previous posters with an opinion other than your own are A) white and B) racists. Hmmmm, I guess we see what we want.

I didn't notice any racism until you brought up racism. Maybe it would've been best to just keep it to yourself

I thought they we're bums too. Because the only glimpses I saw of the rydaz had them wearing stereotypical alley bum clothes.

Obviously bums can't afford dirt bikes, so theyre not real bums. Unless they stole them. That, and the fact that they're illegally shutting down streets, breaking laws and ignoring police, makes the assumption that they are thugs a likely place to go to next.

But those are just examples of a logical way of thinking

All true, but are Ruff Ryders described as bums and thugs when they shut down a freeway? Just checking.

I am not going to dignify such a question by responding.

For the record I once saw this documentary where a struggling boxer found inspiration in being compared to a bum. It was really odd because in the documentary the boxer clearly had an apartment and a job, but for some reason when his trainer/manager called him a bum it was like a light went on inside the pugilist and suddenly he fought harder than ever. To be honest the trainer did tell him that he loved him. My point is that if this gentleman could derive such strength from the comparison perhaps we could elevate the youth depicted in the video with some similar comments tempered with love.

....is this documentary titled Rocky?

Growing pattern of lawlessness

This isn't new, Baltimore has had issues like this for years.
Only when you can catch them can something be done. Most will escape, or ditch the bikes.
At that point they should impound the vehicles like they do street racers cars.
Lock that bike up for six months or longer.
The court costs, fines, and impound fees will cost them more than the bike is worth.
Naw that won't work, they prolly deal drugs, and make enough money that the bikes are throw always.
Felonies in the future for side shows?
Might solve the problem??

Guys, come on, I'm being serious, what I'm trying to illustrate is that there's no easy way out, there's no shortcut home.

there's no shortcut home.
There is some kind of shortcut, because I am always amazed at stunters and these sort of folks that can afford bikes and thrash them. I thrash bikes, but it isn't intentional, and I am not sure I can afford it. :x
