Love Polka Dots; not so much for the food, as the ambiance. My wife/sister and I like to dine on the lawn, under the trees, by the babbling brook. :thumbup

The food is okay, and I remember the lawn too :laugh

Onetime, I even stayed at the Babbling Brook Inn across the street.

We've got to stop by the Polka Dot and take pics at least. Looks like a pretty cool place. :thumbup

The babbling brook goes under the street, and I guess goes along the Inn too?

When you look at it, over to the left are like mulberry trees, (Or something?) and there's a lawn with picnic tables, and a little stream going through it all. It's like a little enchanted forest. :laughing The "ambiance" makes the food taste better! :rofl
I just love Quincy! :p

Your Mileage May Vary

My two Hawthorne rally experiences were a shortish 750-800 miles each three-day rally. No Iron Butt, me, but a lot of riding anyway you slice it... :ride

My suggestions:
1.) Ride at your own pace---you can still have company.
2.) Take some off-the-bike time for pictures, hikes, sightseeing, whatever---stay fresh and clear-headed. :thumbup
3.) Be especially careful riding at dawn, dusk, or at night---everything from deer to deerflies are out.
4.) Don't tell your wife (girlfriend, boyfriend, s.o.) too much about the rally---they might discover you had too much fun! :party

Major props to the Rally Masters and their elves for putting this event together!! :hail
