2018 Winter Olympics

YUN SUNG-BIN is a bad ass.

South Korea hero athlete forever.
Gold in skeleton for his home Olympic’ hosting country.

Huge :thumbup

Wow, one of the local sports commentator's demonstrated a massive level of stupid and got his stupid ass fired. Good riddance, idiot.

KNBR cuts ties with radio host who made sexually inappropriate comments about Olympian Chloe Kim

On another note, good job KNBR! What the frick was that guy thinking or perhaps he didn't have access to a news source and the USA Olympics tragedy? :wtf

He allowed his mouth to vulgarly say what his brain was thinking. She is a cutie. Both a looker and, from the snapshot we get of the athletes, seems to have a great personality.

Barstool Sports has had some serious issues in the past with misogynistic public comments, on the air and in social media. They had a huge deal with ESPN lined up, but when some of the on air women (Sam Ponder, especially) brought up some of their cruder comments, ESPN pulled the plug on the deal feeling it wasn't right to put them on TV in the era #MeToo.

US over South Korea was a bit of a bore to watch. Didn't even look like the guys were having to try that hard at all. The game with Italy just straight pissed me off. They go from letting Italy score five in the third end and then ended up tying it up going into the tenth end...just missing the win by probably a couple inches tops. :mad

WTF dude, why use that description? :wtf

Because I couldn't remember his name, and literally every headline I saw bandied about on Facebook read: "First openly gay figure skater kills it!" or whatever without giving his damn name.

Since when is it automatically derogatory to describe an openly, proudly gay figure skater as a gay man?

For example, look at the title on this youtube video:

Olympic figure skater turns down Pence meeting: "I am a proud gay American."

If news articles constantly describe him as a proud gay figure skater, why is it automatically offensive to go "hey what was that guy's name again and can you post a video of his whole performance, I want to watch it. What guy? Can't remember his name, the gay figure skater guy everyone's talking about."

:dunno Wasn't trying to be offensive dude chill the fuck out. I just wanted to see this guy's performance because I don't have cable and it sounded like it was worth watching.

I love the Olympics really. So many journeys with all the work and pain of being a top tier athlete. I totally enjoy seeing the joy of the top three and I am sure there is a lot more to appreciate in those that just got to compete.

Awesome. :cool

There are people who think that the Olympics are an over-rated waste of time and money.

Personally, I think that they completely miss the whole point about the Olympics, there is more to life than just putting money in the bank and greasing the skids to your grave.

Problem is now days Olympics are used as a pretext to transfer billions from public to private entities.

That's the business side of it.

From the athlete side of it, there are still Millions of young athletes with dreams of going to the Olympics and winning gold.

Until Carter politicized it, the Olympics were a place where athletes from all countries could compete against each other despite the status between their countries. Granted there was the Munich massacre by a bunch of Palestinian assholes who destroyed the spirit of the games for that year.

The Olympics has always been politacized by politicians. Carter wasn’t the first. Maybe this will ring a chord:

The German sledders crash it over the line to take the lead away from their compatriots. Awesome! :laughing

There must be a lot more to curling than meets the eye if doping can make any difference in the outcome. :laughing
