2020 F1 SEASON

The drivers said that they loved the track.

I suspect that the teams didn't love the track the same, given the number of repairs that would need to be done to a bunch of cars after the carnage.

To be fair, that rolling restart...those who anticipated the jump were at fault. Bottas did what he did according to the rules.

True. I read this morning that Mercedes had advised their drivers based upon rolling starts in the F2 and F3 races where they saw the leader get drafted and passed when they did anything but do what Bottas did.

Absolutely, it's on the guys behind. I would put the majority of the fault on the driver who slammed on his brakes in 100% braking when he was still well behind the lead group, that was just an ignorant, stupid and selfish action as he was still trying to maintain distance for getting a run at the line.

He is like the person who suddenly goes into very thick fog and immediately panic brakes, causing a chain reaction pile-up.

At the initial start Verstappen was like a bowling ball going through pins, just in reverse!

Yeah, I'll bet it's one of the worst experiences he's had in an F1 car, I'll bet he was swearing up a huge storm as it was happening.

His initial comments in the car I heard he was blaming others! :laughing:wtf

UMMMM....that was not Verstapen's fault. He was taking it easy and got hit.

Something was seriously wrong with the power output. Agree it wasn't his fault...he knew he was gonna have trouble with reduced power in the pack.

He has no power and other drivers probably didn't expect him to be going those speeds. Also going 3 wide up the hill never ends well in general. Worse so if one of them is in limp mode.

Albon's outside passes are sick. I love watching those!

I've heard whispers that people don't like the Sochi track.. why is that?

Because it has one good turn, the big left hand sweeper. The rest of it is ho-hum and boring.

It's all about $$$$ er.... €€€€ to F1. Hopefully Liberty Media will wake up and get rid of it.

Buddh is a much better track. Too bad the local Indian government tried to tax the event too much...or something like that.

Hamilton seemed really happy...
