2020 F1 SEASON

I don't think I would be happy, in his shoes today.

It's not inconceivable that considerations for making the race and Championship more 'interesting' could have been factors.

That was my thought too. I think you could hear the same feelings in Hamilton's voice.

Post race he actually said the stewards are trying to "stop me." He's fortunate to have avoided a penalty in qualifying, and should have known they would be watching the race tightly. He's too dang whiny. Talented (not GOAT material), but have some dignity when they don't cut you slack.

A couple things.
1. I have NEVER seen two 5 second pentalites dished out for a single action.
2. He will likely break just about every record of merit by the end of this season, don't know what GOAT scale you're using, he belongs in the conversation.
3. He did get his run in Q2 penalized and deleted which almost cost him Q3 with the red flag towards the end of Q2.
4. When he said that, they had also added 2 points against his super license for something that wasn't nearly as dangerous as plenty of other things that have only gained a driver 1 point. They later retracted that, it was pretty ridiculous that they had levied that against him.

1. It was two practice starts, each garnering a 5 second penalty. But, yes, first time it's been stacked.
2. Yes, he's in conversation. He's phenomenally talented, but I don't recall anybody having a car that is so dominant for so many seasons, either. Most races the Mercedes has a half a second per lap or more over entire field.
3. My bad. His lap was tossed, and then he, by a fraction of a second made the line for another go.
4. The points thing was stupid.

He's just hard to take listening to his bitching. He's 44 points up on Bottas, and there is realistically only two drivers competing for the drivers championship.

Senna and Mansell were whinny also and still two of the greats. Its part of their nature at that level.

Schumacher had a HUGE advantage at Ferrari, don't know if you remember that.

Hamilton isn't nearly as whiny as Vettel.

Eh...not really. The FIA took back the 2 point super license penalty.
I think they knew they had over-stepped on that. Those 2 points should have never been levied in the first place.

Yeah, if he missed a race it would tighten up the Championship, especially if Hamilton had to step very carefully through the rest of the season.

I think they're out to get Hamilton. Seriously. I'm new to F1 and my novice eye cries foul.

On another note, GO PEREZ!

I also like Perez. He's a great driver and he seems like a nice person as well.

I like Daniel Ricardo, but he has not had the best of luck lately.

Well Schumacher drove for Ferrari from 1996-2006.

He won 2 championships with Benneton 5 with Ferrari in a row.

Hamilton one 1 championship with McLaren, a team that hadn't won a championship in 10 years, and then 5 with Mercedes being pipped in that streak by he team mate in a year of very bad luck for him.

So, yes, Ferrari with Schumacher was dominant as Mercedes has been with Hamilton.

Both would concede, I think, that Senna was better despite not winning nearly as many championships.

Was happy to see Bottas win and the battle for fourth in the Championship is fierce.

And there is another battle for third in the constructors.
