2025/2026 NFL Thread

Takes me back to the time my kid, playing 15u baseball at 13 caught a bad throw to second, had to jump for it and got slid into upon landing. Dislocated, both bones broken, the big one right through the growth plate. He had a cast up to his crotch and was in a wheelchair.

He was good in a year. Concerns about his legs being different lengths because of the type of injury were thankfully just concerns. Full recovery. He was able to start at varsity short stop as a sophomore.

Metlife takes yet another ACL.

Niners are fucking cursed with injuries.

When a team is plagued by injuries, it's often not as much about luck as in preparation.

LOL

THEY JUST DIDN'T WANT IT BAD ENOUGH

Bro, it is my home stadium, I don't want to hear shit about being cursed with injuries. Giants last won a Superbowl in 2011. New Stadium with new field began in 2010. I won't blame all the failures of thew last 15 years on that new field, which we redid 2 years ago due to the series of injuries and complaints, but I will identify it as a serious contributor to the ongoing problems.

Some cats were rumoring they didn't want Purdy to do his first game back against the Giants because they felt they had a decent chance without him and didn't want to risk him on that turf.

I grew up riding dirt bikes, so breaking stuff that doesn't stop you from racing next year, is just a moderate bummer at most. Plus I was watching when Damar Hamlin took his hit, that's real life stuff and that's how they were talking, like someone died. Anything where someone plays next year, is just the regular stuff.

:laughing

You know Hamlin Played the following Season and just resigned a contract, right?

I am telling you guys while CMC is playing great and uninjured the CMC injury curse is just going to randomly keep hitting everyone around him. But no matter how you cut it this is just getting ridiculous with all the joint injuries happening.

I guess I was wrong about SF.

They are still good enough to beat bad teams easily.

Another injury doesn't help though.

Give Robinson the ball more or McAffrey will be yet another statistic.

68 yard FG kicked yesterday by Jaguars Kicker. Wow.

Oh, and KC lost.

Yay.

Interesting that Taylor Swift has abandoned going to games now that they aren't in the limelight.

Marshawn Kneeland evidently died of suicide.

Tragic.

Condolences to family and friends.

Gosh, what a surprise.

What an idiot.

Fox Sports parted ways with football analyst Mark Sanchez, the network said Friday, a month following his arrest in Indianapolis over an incident where he was stabbed for allegedly attacking a truck driver.

"We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network," a Fox Sports spokesperson said in a statement to NBC News. "There will be no further comment at this time.”

While he was with the network, he joined in 2021 as a college football analyst and was reportedly earning between $1-2 million annually on a three-year deal that was reportedly renewed in 2024.

Making fun of a guy's height who overcame that perceived weakness to make it to the NFL. Cool story bro. Now do bald guys and fat people. Low hanging fruit...

C'mon man.
