2025/2026 NFL Thread

should have stuck with Del Rio

I was in the same mindset for awhile. But his last year there, Raiders were going backwards.

7-9 his first year
12-4 in his second year
6-10 in his third year

And Gruden didn't do much better his first two years back. 4-12 and 7-9. Then 8-8 in LV. Maybe the Raiders were on track for a winning season with him entirely at the helm. But we all know what happened after week 5 of the 2021/22 season. Gruden resigns due to him being a misogynistic and homophobic asshole (who knew?!). Bisaccia goes 7-5 and gets the team to the playoffs.

Player moral was very high with Bisaccia.

Wonder how much Brady likes ravens harbaugh, maybe Brady pulls the lever and harbaugh does come to da raiiiiders

$100mil in cap room to play with might be tempting and lots of draft picks.

Here is the current list of picks the Raiders are projected to have:

RoundPick No.Notes
1#1No. 1 Overall Selection
2#36
3#67
4#102
4#117Acquired from Jacksonville (via Minnesota) in the Jakobi Meyers trade
4#134Projected Compensatory Pick
5#174Projected Compensatory Pick (Original 5th sent to CLE for Kenny Pickett)
6#182Acquired from Jacksonville (via NY Jets) in the Jakobi Meyers trade
6#185
7#219

Even though he was fired, why would Harbaugh go from a top notch organization to the bottom of the barrel…I’d be absolutely shocked if he did become the Raiders coach.

He can be the man that returned the raiiiiiiders to greatness, you may think they are bottom barrel but after the move to vegas they are still considered one of the biggest franchises/teams.

There are still 12 teams who never won a sb, raiders is not one of them

the cowboys have won superbowl but they are a crap franchise. The Raiders ARE bottom of the barrel. it’s been a looooong time since they were relevant.

Until the current ownership of both those franchises moves on, no current, successful coach should want any part of them. You can’t turn something around if someone is pissing on your head and telling you it’s raining.

That's your perception, I can tell you for a fact raiders silver and black are way more internationally known then say like clevland browns

They have the best stadium, they also charge the most price per ticket yet everyone still goes so guess that org/franchise still makes the bigger bux, but somehow it all doesn't make sense

I'm not saying I like the owner, but your looking at this incorrectly

Haters gonna hate.

Raiders have asked to talk to Matt Nagy....

.....no more OC re-treads please.

Just because people pay the most for an inferior product doesn’t make it great, just makes the consumer look silly. Also moving the team numerous times doesn’t bode well for loyalty to their fan base. The Raiders seem to be satisfied with their relevance from 40+ years ago.

He didn't evolve because he was out of coaching for so long. He was also terrible at draft picks.

I mean, he was out of Head Coaching for like a year in Seattle before he joined with Vegas. :dunno
should have stuck with Del Rio
That is real as a MoFo. It seemed like he was making incremental real ass improvements. One off year and they dug up a dinosaur to replace him.

Leave Apple out of this. :x

Anyone taking odds on John Harbaugh in Joisey Blue? Seems like a good fit, unless he is going to take a year off to recharge.

I find any scenario where he lands in Las Vegas very unlikely.

NYG make the most sense. Closest to his existing location, he might not even have to move. Known for a very good ownership structure, not prone to meddling, probably the best young roster to play with on the list, and a high draft pick next year to exercise some wish list.

I figure odds are either he goes to play for Blue, or he goes with the Titans to abuse that gigantic Salary Cap they have next year.

Cleveland is just as cursed as the Raiders, Atlanta is in a bad state, I suppose if he did want to live in the desert, Arizona might be a good option, but he would only consider it I'm sure if they have a commitment to get rid of Midget Murray out of town prior to his cap hit next year, which seems like a big if.

Feels like NY or Nashville.

I was talking about Gruden. Look at who and what I was quoting.

JDR...be real...team went backwards was going to continue going backwards.

Gruden hire was a fanboi hire my Mark Davis and to help sell seats and boxes for the new stadium.

I thought I heard that the owner was sick and may not be around too much longer and his kids are pretty young too from what I have heard but could be wrong.
