2025/2026 NFL Thread

I think Reid falls into the same category as Belicheat as they both didn't start really winning until they got transcendent QBs. I think Mahomes has a ways to go to catch Brady but he has time even though I hate that he is making KC so good and the bandwagon Chiefs fans drive me nuts and their shit talk.
I had a few decades during which I didn’t pay much attention to The Chiefs. A large gap from putting gas in Mike Garrett’s car to the handsome Mahomes. I won’t attempt to offset the Chief’s BARF negativity!

Mel Kiper's draft predictions.

The problem with Kiper (including that 40+year hair style), and many other people who do mock drafts, is that trades happen in real time, mucking up their entire draft board. Plus teams leak their potentials to the media just to see how other teams react. This in turn causes teams to change their mind, trade up/down, etc.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out the #1 pick. He's only missed it twice since 2009 I believe. After #1 and MAYBE #2, it's anyone's guess to be fair.

I just look forward to hearing Eagle fans "boo" all their picks.

Still waiting for Kiper to retire after saying he would if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a superstar.

Is this why they are vilifying Coach Sirianni? Do they hate Santa Claus that bad to include Nick?

For me its the lots of teams win the SB but why are the Chiefs constantly all up in my grill 24/7. Can't get away from them but that's probably State Farm's fault and not them in particular. Although I will say it again Andy Reid was sure funny as shit in a few of those commercials the one on the airplane always made me laugh. Also all the love Andy Reid is shown now how everyone says he's a genius but where were all these he's a genius guy when he wasn't winning in Philly they are just bandwagon homers. Sorry for the rant. I have no issues with the true KC fans who stuck through the shit times and now got to enjoy the good.

But Andy DID win in Philly. Just like Marty. Just not the last game of the post-season. Same coach, maybe Reid needed to be in red to fully bloom? He was a green tomato with the Eagles. Fully ripe with the Chiefs.

And Chiefs have had a good run with TV ads....
Oh damn didn't realize they rebooted that Snickers commercial.

McDaniel is taking the Chargers OC job.

Did not expect that.

Hardly. Ask any old school shit bird in this place, they were trash for like 40 years. Essentially they did almost nothing since their last NFL Championship in like 1960. When Andy Reid came on deck, after a brief period fo correction, he turned that Team into a juggernaut that went to the superbowl, and he did it with a rolling dumpster fire like Donovan McNabb. The winning culture he somehow built in that awful town has sustained itself into what eventually became 2 Championships and is only now starting to peter out.

Similarly, after Philly, he took a Chiefs Team that hadn't done shit in the previous decade or so (I don't follow the AFC that close, remember Romeo Crenell?) and turned it into an immediate Superbowl contender with an Alex Smith that had just washed out of San Francisco bad enough to be replaced by a fucking RB pretending to be a QB.
True, he wasn't able to seal the deal with some rings until he got Mahomes as the missing piece, but his record of turning around garbage franchises into winners across multiple Teams is really god damned impressive.

Traditionally shitbag teams like the Browns, Raiders, Jets, or Cardinals, can only hope he has one more team left in him before he hangs up his hat for Canton.

Sounds like the Bills are hiring Brian Daboll.

Do you honestly think he will keep coaching if he leaves KC? I think they only way they get him out of KC is when Mahomes retires as he probably won't want to have to work his way to the top again. He will probably get a high paying TV job that won't require half as much work as being a HC.
