2025 F1 Season (spoilers will be discussed)

I also think that others are going to take advantage of Max being at maximum points on his license. If Max gets 1 more point, he would have to sit out a race. So, I feel that Max cannot risk another point and will not "Max" the next couple of races.

100%.

In a sensational turn of events, Lewis Hamilton has reportedly defied a direct ultimatum from Ferrari Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur a warning that he could be sidelined for the rest of the 2025 season if he didn’t toe the team line. But Hamilton, never one to back down, did the unthinkable: he went ahead with his own strategy during a critical race moment, completely ignoring Ferrari’s instructions.
The incident occurred during final practice ahead of the next Grand Prix, where Hamilton allegedly refused to trial a controversial setup that engineers insisted on. Instead, he reverted to his own preferred configuration the same one he used during his title-winning years at Mercedes. The garage was left stunned, and insiders say Vasseur’s patience finally snapped. But Hamilton’s response? Calm, calculated, and now viral: “I came to Ferrari to drive, not to be silent. I trust my experience and so do the fans.”
That line simple but powerful has ignited the F1 community. Fans flooded social media with support, calling Hamilton “a true racer,” “the voice Ferrari needed,” and even “the last gladiator of F1.” As tensions skyrocket in Maranello, one thing’s clear: Lewis Hamilton isn’t bowing down and this rebellion may just redefine his legacy in red. Civil war? It’s already begun.

The Hamilton I love, as a fan.

Lovely fanfic

They lost me at "used Merc config on the Ferrari".

Was this the race where Lewis said the car is the worst it's ever been...

Might as well use AI to write a slightly better fanfic

Hamilton Defies Ferrari Orders in Strategic Clash – "I Know What This Car Needs"

Monza, June 2025 – Tensions at Ferrari reached boiling point during Friday practice at the Spanish Grand Prix after Lewis Hamilton openly rejected a team directive to test an experimental aerodynamic setup, opting instead for a configuration closer to his preferred balance.

Sources within the team reveal that Ferrari’s engineers had pushed for the revised package, aiming to address chronic understeer issues that have plagued the SF-25. But Hamilton, after just three laps, radioed in: "This isn’t working. I’m switching back to my settings." The garage was reportedly divided, with some senior figures insisting he comply, while others deferred to his experience. Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur intervened, urging Hamilton to "give it a proper chance," but the seven-time champion held firm.

"I respect the team’s work, but I know what this car needs," Hamilton later told Sky Sports. "We have to be smart about testing. My job is to give honest feedback, not just say ‘yes.’"

While not a full-blown mutiny, the incident highlights growing friction as Ferrari struggles to close the gap to rivals Red Bull and McLaren. Hamilton’s uncompromising approach has drawn mixed reactions: some insiders praise his leadership, while others worry it undermines team unity. Notably, teammate Charles Leclerc—who ran the updated setup without complaint—later admitted, "Sometimes you have to trust the data, but the driver’s feeling matters too."

Ferrari’s hierarchy has downplayed the rift, with Vasseur calling it "a normal debate in high-pressure sports." But with Hamilton’s $100M move to Maranello meant to herald a new era, the question lingers: Is this the spark of a winning rebellion—or a sign of deeper dysfunction?

Ferrari cannot catch McLaren at this point but they might hold on to second in the constructors thanks to Yuki.

IMHO, Ferrari has shown periods of performance undermined by bad race strategic decisions.

Ferrari looked promising until they didn't in qualifying.

Great job by George, will Vercrashin' take him out?

Colapinto over performed!

That was a really fun race to watch. No real shenanigans, but a lot of really good racing. McLaren seemed like a self-fulfilling prophecy after that interview this week when Norris mentioned that there was going to be a time when him and Piastri went at it.

Good job Antonelli!

Russell definitely earned that.

I'm hoping this weekend might be an intro to other teams challenging McLaren in the constructors. It's always fun to watch some real competition.

Anyone else notice the chunks of meat that I can only assume were from an obliterated ground hog on the entry into the hairpin? It was there for maybe 30+ laps. The announcers mentioned the alive groundhog right away in qualifying...... noticeably silent on the remains.

The Nascar race in Mexico was amazing. Full contact, rain, yellow flags, the whole gambit. Non-stop action.

Lando pulled another Lando. I'm still waiting for him to stop making mistakes.

F1 races are better when the tires have something interesting going on with them or have an unknown. The teams only get 2 sets of Hards per weekends which suggests to me that no one ran one in FP. And the cliff experienced by the Medium's in this one spiced it up a little more. It was funny as always to see a few teams do their stops sub-optimally - Albon and LeClerc stand out the most.

Yes, putting them on one grade softer this year vs last prompting a mandatory extra pit stop increases interest for sure.

That was a lot more fun to watch than any race in recent memory.

It was awesome to see Norris keep it together long enough.

What a day for Sauber!
