2025 F1 Season (spoilers will be discussed)

Newey is more than a generation talent, the is the GOAT for aerodynamics. He does things in his head that would take most other mortals weeks for computer computations to do.
 
I would agree. However, I think Craig Breedlove (land speed record holder) was the GOAT of his time. Breedlove also did not use computers nor drawings. He just built from his mind and went very fast doing it.

I know, two completely different vehicles.
 
I wouldn't disagree, though I was thinking in terms of F1 and other forms of racing.

Each kind of vehicle would have it's own challenges.

I think that towards the end, RB thought that their new braintrust could match Newey so started treating him badly. They were wrong.
 
We've all seen how that kind of thing works, they tell him there is an easy way to exit and a hard way to exit, the easy way being that he can announce that he's leaving.
 
Rumor is that Yuki will be going to Aston Martin. So, IMHO that would mean that Lance would be out. The only way I can see that happening is if Lance does not want to race anymore. I have noticed that Lance appears to be a little different since he got hurt in that his attitude and demeanor have appeared to be not into the circus anymore (he is not having fun, it has become more of a job). So, maybe he wants out.
 
Perhaps so. He's not in the media as much either. I think him moving to the business side of it will be a good move for him. And cash in with Daddy Stroll kicks the bucket.

The rumor of Yuki to Aston has always been there. Honda wants him there since they are providing the power units. While the announcement is probably fake, the results will probably be accurate.

I've been down with Yuki ditching the RB teams for years. But I think he'd be stupid to do it without signing for another team. I don't think he has the talent or reputation to come back once he's out. Maybe he'll throw his name into the Cadillac hat. I'd still probably take Checo and Valtteri over Yuki - but you never know.

Lance retiring due to his injury might make me feel bad for him. I want him gone yesterday, but not like that. Ive yet to see anything on this either. Usually r/formuladank will have a few memes about any credible rumors :LOL:
 
Looks like Botas is on the short list for Caddy too....maybe close to signing. That sounds like a good fit for both.
 
Yuki is Honda's guy. 2026 will be RB Powertrains so need to keep him after this season.

I defiantly agree with Yuki needing to sign with another team. He is not (IMHO) one of the top drivers on the grid. I just read an article that stated that the short list for Cadillac is Checo, Valtteri and Mick (Schumacher). I agree with the first two, but Mick is not a development driver (proven with what he did (or didn't do) at Haas).

I have not read anything about Lance leaving. It is just a thought (and feeling) I have had ever since his injury. I have noticed a difference in his demeanor. I don't think the injury is what is causing this. I think Lance is just tired of all the "social media" backlash on his driving and just wants out. It's not like he needs the money. So, maybe he has lost the drive to compete at a top level and daddy has had a talk with him.
 
My biggest complaint about Lance is that he rarely acts like he wants to be there. This has been going on for years, but this year def seems A LOT worse. Raikkonen, Verstappen, and a few others do/did the whole “I hate media but love everything else” perfectly. Lance does not.
 
Maybe with his fathers big investment in the team, Lance has felt obligated to keep driving even though his heart isn't into it anymore?
