It funny, KK and Var are telling us it's time for Nick to "put up or shut up", but reading this, I think there's a helluva lot more pressure is on Pedro-tot considering the embarrassments he and his manager have caused Honda!
I CONCUR.

Other than Val, has anyone ever switched bikes and then won the GPWC in their first season on the new bike?

My throat hurts so I can't yell anymore.

I don't care if he wins the championship. If he just learns how to set up his bike and stop sliding around everywhere and puts in some good battles with the front runners, he'll earn my respect moreso than he lost it in '06. I really want the bastard to ride well next year. Believe me.

So did he lose your respect in 06 when he won the championship, or in 07 when he didn't have the results to followup his championship year?

Mostly in 07 when he just whined and bitched on every interview i saw on motogp.com

:laughing Kinda like someone else that whines and bitches every time they are reminded exactly who the 2006 WC was! (I can see how that happened for some reason.) :thumbup

Oh please don't remind me again. I've got a cold and I don't feel like puking

But as for the year Hayden won the championship, Rossi caused the crash in Jerez.
WRONG. Elias torpedoed Rossi and at the end of the race he went to rossi and profusely appologized. Only to later pay back the favor by beating him to the line at portugal. Dont know if Hayden ever went over to Elias and give him a big hug and sent him the best call girl...

Rossi hit the kill switch in France, Rossi has no right to complain about a wrist injury considering how lucky he's been with injuries over his career, and Rossi have a fucking lay up easy shot at Valencia and he blew it. How can you be the greatest of all time if you screw up something that was wrapped in a bowtie for you?

The injury is part of racing, as well as Hayden been LUCKY to escape unscathered. As said, even as his own fault, 3 mechanical DNFs is likly to kill any opportunty to win a championship.

The fact is that luck shined on Hayden all year.. and he was well aware of it. He said, correctly, it was his best chance - as he knew he had a prototype rocketship just to him..if he could not do then, then never. Hissy fit and crying at Estoril is testamount to that - as Hayden new well it was his best ever chance to win the title... and if he failed... or rather if Rossi did not fail..it would be ALL over... and so far it has. And in fact is then i looked bad, it looks a hell of a lot worse.

Chances are, that a massive amount of fortune is nearly impossible to repeat itself.

Hayden conducted himself honorably during his unseccesful title defense. He's not one of these jacks who makes catty comments in the press about being quicker while he lost one year and being on a slower bike while he lost another year.

:hand Hayden moaned more than stoner ever did... but would always add "it is not like i am making excuses" - the man has political knack. :laughing

Pedrosa may indeed have more pressure... it depends. Hayden is looking like a "has been" and he does not want to go.... dont think Hayden wants to do the KRJR and collect a nice paycheck and ride safe. He is also going to new team for ONE year...if he sux, Ducati will show him he door and then....:|

Be careful, he might tell us what Kevin Schwantz had for lunch today, that would really elevate his level of "expertise"! :laughing

well regardless of what happened at valencia in 2006, rossi is the goat because he has the most premier class wins and 7 titles. so even if hayden and rossi gave up one each, rossi would still need two hands to count his titles in the premier class.....

as for does anyone share kk opinion regarding ducati willing to sack nicky after one year, just ask melandri ......
