BARF amatuer musician "jam" meet - Fri, Feb 13, 09

Had a feeling something might be missing, glad I asked ......again
I may be able to supply a cab if I come. What about Connie doe's she or anyone else have one in case I can't:confused

I'm not sure if Connie is bringing her rig or not. :dunno

I mentioned possibly bringing my bass amp but I guess since nobody seemed to be interested, it'll just stay home. :rolleyes

Hmmmmm riddles:laughing
kind of an important detail, I'll see if anyone replies or check again later

Thanks for the reply:thumbup

Someone has indicated interest in your bass amp, but there are other reasons for you to come too, like playing yer guitar. :thumbup

You do realize he was talking about leaving the bass amp at home not himself right?

Of course I'm bringing my speaker cab... it's what the sound comes out of... :p but since I had sort of planned on using it, I don't know how that's going to help others... :dunno

So... should everyone who plans on showing up to jam bring their own gear?
As in ....if 4 bass players show up, is each one expected to have their own amp?
Drums too??
I guess I figured if someone was bringing one it would be shared.
Also we do plan on bassists going up one at a time right?....or we could bust out some big bottom

If not, I'd like to know so I'm prepared.
Either way it's all good

Either way it's cool with me

I'm not really answering the question, but I think dueling basses would be very cool! :laughing

I'm coming to play, so I don't expect to be sitting around with my rig not being used very much... I say everyone brings their rigs, and we go for the BIG symphony sound! :teeth
If I'm sitting it out for a bit, and someone wants to play my rig, fine... change settings, and I keel you, but other than that, it's all good... :laughing

that is why I use crayola markers on my amp for my settings, friends would always mess with my amp settings and fuck up my badass tone setting that took me a long time of tinkering to get down. When I'd come back and check the amp they had the mids all the way scooped, bass and treble cranked and the gain set to 10:rolleyes

I miss my Marshall head, with that amp it was just plug and play just about any setting sounded badass, My current amp has tons of knobs and if it takes a while to find a good setting I like.

Not sure how many jam sessions y'all have been to, but in general - these are LOOSE guidelines, by the way - the format involves one of each instrument (or two, depending on what instrument) playing at any given time, and musicians rotating so that everybody gets an equal or satisfactory share of play time and so that everybody gets to play with everybody else, and nobody is left out. I don't know what you guys are expecting, but that's kind of what I have in mind when I go to a big jam session.

Dude. :hand I'm rockin with Dokken from get to gone. Someone gets in my way I just crank it louder. Pin it or bin it baby.

:teeth
