BARF Militia

Price check isle 4 please. I'm thinking of trading a couple of revolver's + cash for this. What do you think it is worth? Less than 50 rounds put thru it, stainless and 9mm.

Unless the revolvers are old Iver Johnson .32 top breaks, or something of the sort, that sounds like a bad deal for you.

This is an older collector who bought two of these new and thinks that they have greatly appreciated.
Shoots very well, but not worth trading a 38 stainless snubnose and a 22 magnum single action apparently.

Thanks guys!

Starting my first 80% project as soon as it comes in the mail. Got a two stage trigger coming in, first time I've tried one.

wanting to build an "old school" vietnam era style but flat topped. Solid stock, rifle length gas system.

this will also be the first upper Ive built. Is there a different barrel nut that has the delta ring for the two piece rifle handguards? What goes up front at the gas block to secure that end? all uppers I've had before had free float handguards and secured to the barrel nut through clamps or had a threaded barrel nut.

Should I be concerned about headspacing and get a go/nogo gauge?

Headspacing has to do with the bolt and barrel. There's no way to change it other than replacing one or the other.

If you are going to build more than 1 AR. Get a set of gauges. If not, assemble the upper and take it to a shop. They'll be happy to do it for a small fee.

I have a set of 5.56 go/nogo gauge. Let me know if you need the head space checked. I'd be glad to help.
Just don't assemble your upper yet, if you want them checked.

I may do more than one but I know others who definitely will be building so might as well be prepared and score a set.

any recommendations? any set "better" than another?

it'll be a month or so until I get to the upper - gonna be a couple of weeks until I even get the paperweight and jig delivered due to backorders. I'll PM you when I have all the upper components in my hands before screwing it all together. Thanks in advance :thumbup
