Also dangerous to your physical wellbeing. Rangemasters let NDs slide all day long. My dad has been injured twice from people next to him firing into the gravel and him taking the spray from that. It’s a fun place but if you have ANY defensive pistol training I’d look elsewhere. The first few days are painfully remedial and it doesn’t really get good until the last day.

That said for the price it’s not bad if someone gifted you a membership or class. The “pro shop” is a giant ripoff (2x MSRP). Also it can get a little culty but the shooting is fun

I've only seen one ND while there, and the solution to that is go for the 1-1 training. I was given a membership, so all the classes are free. :thumbup

And yeah, the "Pro Shop" charges way too much, but they have to so they can give "discounts" and still get full price. :rofl:rofl

I’ve only been the once. My dad drank the kool-ade and bought at the time the 2nd highest membership, his friend went even farther and bought the highest which includes private classes and a room in the timeshare. I’m happy with my lowly diamond membership. I was really disheartened at the lack of discipline on the other attendees and especially the lax attitude from the rangemasters. I get that accidents happen but to just shrug them off rather than apply the slightest bit of pressure on the clients to be fucking careful and pay attention was really disappointing.

I think they make the malfunction clearing overly complicated for time which prevents a lot of otherwise good shooters from being able to advance to the next level of class. My dad has gone maybe 5 or six times and hasn’t gotten his distinguished graduate yet because of the malfs.

I’d like to do the long distance rifle class to help make me more comfortable in hunting situations. I would only do the pistol one again for the out of state CCWs you can add on but there are easier ways. And I have mine here so it matters less to me now.

I still recommend it for new shooters but I’m also interested in other outfits that offer more training and less cult/pyramid marketing

Gotta go get your live scan fingerprints first. They'll give you a number that needs to be submitted on the application. Application is done on-line, then you have to upload a scan of your drivers license. Then wait. and wait. Took almost exactly a month for it from application to approval.
