Would you both just settle the fuck down. :mad

Oh wait, was that an over reaction? :p

And Eric, I don't need to tell you, since you've already told yourself. :D

Nah, I have plenty of cheap scopes. Some work fine, some don't. Hey, it's only forty bucks.

Though that's a box and shipping for some El Mejor Emeralds of cbid. ;)

Well even with my laser zapped eyes I can't see jack at 100 yards. If it wasn't for my spotter scope it would be a total waste of time. I'm hoping this aim special isn't total junk.

This Carlos Torano Signature is treating me right. Mom and kid are at a music class so you know that's an auto stogie break right there. :teeth

I did it. Went out and spent some hard earned economical stimulus check (early)... Stupid 10 day waiting period.

CRPA AND CALIFORNIA LAW ENFORCEMENT FILE AMICUS BRIEFS IN SUPREME COURT SECOND AMENDMENT CASE

Release Date: February 11, 2008
Contact: Chuck Michel, Legal Counsel (562) 216-4444

Today the California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA) joined with forty other state rifle and pistol associations from across the country in filing a powerful and significant "friend of the court" amicus curiae brief in the case of Washington, DC vs. Heller in the United States Supreme Court. The brief supports the Second Amendment protection of an individual right to keep and bear arms.

Also today, a companion amicus brief in support of the Second Amendment was filed by twenty nine California District Attorneys, the San Francisco Veteran Police Officers Association, the Long Beach Police Officers Association, and other law enforcement groups from across the country. CRPA's attorneys assisted in writing the brief and in requesting that those district attorneys and law enforcement associations sign on.

The briefs were filed as part of a campaign in which amicus briefs covering various issues had to be filed by today. On Friday, Vice President Dick Cheney joined a bi-partisan majority of 55 senators and 250 representatives in filing a pro Second Amendment brief in the case. This is the largest number of co-signers on a congressional amicus brief in American history!

"CRPA's brief has particular relevance and significance for state associations," said civil rights attorney Chuck Michel. "The brief explains the role of state associations cooperating with the federal government and civilian marksmanship programs to ensure a level of firearm proficiency and readiness among the citizenry."

The law enforcement brief emphasizes the need for civilians to be prepared to defend themselves when the police cannot get there on time, and documents the level of defensive gun uses by citizens protecting themselves and their families in their homes.

"Police do a great job. But when seconds count, police are only minutes away." Michel said.

The CRPA brief is posted at www.crpa.org.The law enforcement brief is posted at www.i2i.org.All of the briefs and filings in the case are posted at www.dcguncase.com.

Is Josh, the enemy of gun owners everywhere, dealing guns from his office in DC? :confused

I wasted $80 on a shitty scope, fortunately I have a 10/22 I can mount it on. Then I saw the light and got the Aimpoint Comp M4, which I'm very pleased with and should see a lifetime of use out of.

That's a nice piece Dopesick. You're a die hard Sig fan huh? :)

I'm not sure what I'm itching to get next. I've got the AR, Wingmaster 870, Ithica 37, 10/22 and a Glock 17. I think I'll get a .22 caliber handgun next, just cause they are cheap to shoot, and small to take with me if need be. Then again I do want a DE44 for novelty and a R700 for long range money wasting..

It's sad that they have to do this amicus song and dance at all.

- "Uhm, yeah, we think the Constitution is kinda important and you should seriously consider sticking to it".
- "Yeah, what they said."
- "Splunge?"

But damn.. if this all goes down in a good way before Billary or Osama or McCain get into office, that would be sweet.

are they both against firearms?

Well a $450 Aimpoint sure as hell better out-scope this $40 special. :laughing

I :love my Buckmark. Accurate, great trigger, never needs cleaning. OK, well never gets cleaning and keeps on truckin. :thumbup

I like my 10/22 too, though as squirrel medicine I need something stronger for the ranges I shoot at so I'm looking at getting a .17hmr.
