BARF Militia

hey Is it okay to fire a SABOT SLUG thru a smoothbore barreled shotgun? or are they only for rifled barrels?

I have a Baikal O/U (Remington Spartan 310) which is pretty inexpensive as far as O/U goes. It is a little rough, but a little elbow grease will clean it up really well. I love mine. Got it from Big 5 for $500. Side by sides (SxS) can be had pretty cheap depending on the maker. Stoeger makes an ok SxS for not a lot of money.

I can do my AKs from the hip but not the shoulder, that's the first rifle I've been able to do from the shoulder. The recoil on the AK makes it climb too where it's easy to hold the AR level. Basically hold your trigger finger stiff on the trigger and slowly push the fore end away from you. You need to have the right tension to make the rifle recoil just enough to reset the trigger. Once you get it rocking right it simulates full auto. I was surprised by the rate of fire this thing was able to reproduce. That was a 40 rd mag and after I cleared the chamber it was able to do about 30rds in one stream. :teeth

im going to look into that remington, looks like its a good gun. hopefully big5 or my local gunshop has it or something similar for the price. although, i might get a stoeger to start out on, so much more affordable compared to the $1600 winchester i like!

The 1911 on my hip all day has been way too heavy. Especially with my bad disc.

I get to pick this up on the 25th.

Wow there really IS a barf militia!! Lol. So anyway, I just thought I would drop in and say hi. I just picked up my 2nd hand gun last wed. Its a beretta 96 centurion .40 cal. I LOVE it. I also have a glock 19 that I'm in love with as well. I think it was Mike T who told me about this thread so thanks mike!

Also I don't know how many ruger owners there are out here, but I have 5 factory ruger P90 .45 ACP 8 round mags for sale. I'm getting rid of them for $80. They also include .45 federal ammo. There's about 50 rounds included. Mags full+ loose rounds if anyone is interested.

So if any of you go to reeds off san tomas pm me and I would love to join up!!!

i have a braziletta lol. taurus makes a knock off of the beretta, made in brazil, looks just like one. where you guys go shooting? i always hit up target masters a couple times a week in milpitas.

the hundred packs are $20 each at wally
the two winchester's were $10 for a box of 15 at wally
and the two remingtons were 5 at big 5

sooo about $70
u would have just got like 400 for $80 but i wanted to try a few different rounds

Sweet! Where'd you get it from? Bullseye on Redwood? We'll have to head down to Davis St. when you pick it up to test it out. :thumbup
 
Anyone have a GLOCK 19? I have a few spare 10-round magazines that I won't need where I'm going... :teeth

I'd love to shoot it - I don't have much range time with the sub-compacts....
