You have to be pretty good to hit anything at the trap or skeet range with an 18" barrel and open choke. I'm usually decent with my over/under, and average 20. I can usually only muster a 5 with my 500A and 18" barrel.

Actually I always wanted to pick up another Winchester Defender to do something similar but they don't make them anymore. :cry

I know the FN is similar but they are asking way too much for those.

BTW, was gifted one of these over the weekend. Can't stop playing with the thing. :D

I don't know how you could get the two of us mixed up. But I guess that is the gun he likes to talk about buying. Actually I shot the .45 version, but I don't want to mix calibers. I'm fine with all my handguns shooting one common round (for now).

Also, I've slowed my addiction down. I'm trying to buy a condo.. Granted I still have that R700 in 338 L on order. :X
 
The gun bug has bitten again--got in on the German police surplus Sig P6 thing...a Calguns person did a group buy and got a great price. I can't wait! Anyone have one, and have shooting impressions?

I got one out of the South Bay group buy. Great gun for the money. It really needs new sights as the stockers suck. Also my slide needs a refinish. I also replaced the recoil spring with a 19lb (stock is 16lb) and replaced the hammer spring with an 18lb (stock is 24lb), and it really made the gun much more fun to shoot. :thumbup

do you have any recommendations for over/under or side/side? Im more into the side/sides but an o/u will do as well. i've looked around, they are all so expensive :rolleyes . cheapest i found were the mossbergs at around $900



and awesome video ratters. i'm still longing to get an ar-15 one of these days...

I have one from one of the first group buys. I changed out the hammer spring, threw on a Hogue wraparound grip, and installed a short trigger.

Oh yeah, I haven't shot the damn thing yet. :laughing
 
I just figured that's what happens when you take an AR to the desert! :p

That was pretty impressive, though. I never imagined bump-firing from the shoulder, only the hip.
