BARF Militia

OK back to my 9mm search. I went to a different store at lunch today and held a nice looking Ruger SR9. After doing some research found out that its a very decent and was wondering if anyone here had any first hand experience with it

Shot my friends and it has a smooth trigger IMO.
He already shot 900 rounds though. It ate every kind of ammo with no malfunctions.

If you guys want first dibs on Big 5 ammo, I can hold it for you as it comes off truck. I get truck shipments in every Friday. We usually don't get much (maybe 500-800 rounds of each caliber) but if you just want a box or two to go shooting, I can hook you up :teeth

Got any 357 sig?

Might be joining the Militia in 10 days. Have on hold a Glock 19 at Irvington Arms in Fremont. Out the door its $650 with the test and license. Either that or pipes for the bike...24 hours to make up my mind.

I did hold this gun SA 9mm 1911 and it was sex in my hand but at $1400...ehh

That's a very fair price I think.

The novelty of the pipes will come and go, you won't be able to pass the pipes along to your kids in a few generations though...

True True...they are $50 cheaper than Dublin Guns. Ill probably do it and then make the mistake and justify getting pipes too....its only money right? :cry

I'd consider getting a .40 simply for ammo availability. Finding 9mm is getting ridiculous. Also, I know with some guns you can get a .40 and convert it to 9mm, so it's sort of like having 2 guns.

Wife and i did our Walmart runs last nite. Tons of .22LR and tons of 9mm. Too bad i don't shoot either one. Well i do shoot a little bit of 9mm, but not much.

Got some more .45 though :teeth

I'm guessing the American Canyon Walmart. I called them on Saturday morning to ask if they had .45 or .40 but they said no. I went to the Vallejo gun show and bought mine there as well as some .303 british for my Lee Enfield. The .45 and .40 sold out pretty fast! Some chick bought every primer (60,000ea) they had and pissed a lot of people off.

The gun show was good for older stuff and long guns but not so good if you were looking to buy NIB handguns.

Al, if you ever see the bricks of the Remmington .22lr could you pick up as many as you can for me and I'll pay ya back for them. Might even toss in a box of .45 for your troubles. ;)
