So an aftermarket stock changes the legal status? I wasn't aware of that.

Does it hold true if you sell the rifle with the original stock installed and the aftermarket separate? Does the legal status change if you have the aftermarket installed and the original separate? How does the presence of the scope mount and lack of iron sights affect this?

That what I was afraid of.

Ill see if I can find the original stock.

I asked on Calguns if it still qualifies for C&R

Someone replied:
"Yes.

Reciever = firearm.
Firearms over 50 years old = cash & carry transactions are legal. "

FYI, FFL dealer Kevin Smith in Martinez has brand new, never issued, still in military packaging, Enfield stocks for sale at a pretty reasonable price.

Today was a good day!

So back in April I entered a drawing on ar15.com.
And won :teeth.
Today the Big Brown Truck stopped at my house.

A Storm case with a LaRue Tactical DMR-16 Upper, Magpul furniture, Troy folding sight, scope mount, sling, and a few other goodies.

Add a Kaiser Defense lower I bought from Bullseye.
LaRue 011 lower.jpg

Put it all together :teeth

Guess I'll be at the range tomorrow.

And before I get slammed the lower has a bullet button and that's a 10/30 mag in it. :party

I'm the proud owner of a Glock 19 as of 4:30pm today.

Question: Why did it come with a small manila envelope with 2 shell casings?

Before going to shoot for the 1st time, should I take it apart and clean/lube it? Its not greasy like Ive read some new guns are.

Anything else I should know? I might try to hit the range in Castro Valley sunday.

I believe certain states (Connecticut is one I believe) requires two rounds to be fired from the gun. If the gun is then sold in CT, one casing is stored at their DOJ and the other is yours to keep. Not sure if it has ever solved a crime before. My Ruger Mk III came with the same little folder.

Here's the background on the law. http://www.senatedems.state.ct.us/Ballistic-03.pdf

Cuz they shot the remaining amount of 9mm...your $hit out of Luck buddy! Good luck finding more 9mm ammo!!:rofl:rofl:rofl

The gun shop had plenty of 9mm. I picked up a bag of 50 for $20....I got into this cuz paintball was too expensive but $.40 a shot is :wow

Cleaning it before shooting won't hurt, but it probably won't help much either. The gun will work fine either way I'm sure. If you do clean and lube it, read the instructions and note how it only takes about 5 drops to properly lube a Glock. Don't over lubricate it.

You can get some WWB (Winchester White Box) 9mm ammo at Walmart, 100 rounds for 20 bucks. Look online as well, you can get ammo much cheaper than what you paid and that Glock will fire anything you put in it. Note if you are going to go Walmart shopping, don't go in Contra Costa or Alameda counties...no ammo in those two places.

What Walmart would I hit up if I cant go to one in Alameda or Contra Costa?::wtf

The cost isnt a big deal for ammo as I was going to buy it cheaper online anyway. I just bought some there to go this weekend.
