BARFistan 2025, Butch's Ride Report

Tonight, my CFMoto Ibex450 will be the first time she has ever seen the dirt. I am Going to hunt me some Coyotes tonight and make some Coyote Tacos. Wish me luck!

HEROES! you guys are all my heroes. This Pakistan trip was quite an adventure. I doubt I will ever do something quite "far out" like a motorcycle adventure in Pakistan. I think I will stick the USA. Despite riding for over 40 years, the longest I have ever ridden on a motorcycle on one trip was 300 miles, and the furthest I have ridden on a motorcycle away from home was about 75 miles HAHAHAHAAH. I am more of a "haul them in a trailer" guy for those long motorcycle trips. For now, I will just stick to America and do interstate ADVENTURES on my Ibex 450, maybe in 10 years, and if I am still healthy, I too will do a Pakistan Mountain Trip!

I am a bring the bike to where you want to go kind of gal but I have been contemplating shipping my Ibex to Virginia and riding the TAT in its entirety. There's a device that allows an elderly woman the means to pick up her dropped bike herself, that is the only thing keeping me from doing this trip.

Back to Pakistan, sadly, my other half is against me going there. He feels that Pakistan is far more risk than any American destination, I do not agree with him :cry
I am doing my best to promote this trip and Moin.

Group rides would be the norm but General will get the most eyes so I think that is the spot.

That's a great idea! My only regret from this trip is we didn't have a professional photog along. I hear rumors of a full-time media guy joining tours in 2026... so maybe I will have to go back for a 4th time :laughing
 
I just shared this with a friend. And in doing so I had to trip through the pictures. Oh my goodness, it was a good time. And one of the most wonderful things was Moin had everything covered.
Just get your ass there and ride. And eat. And sleep and ride. Repeat.

I was trying to convince 2 of my coworkers for this trip. One was quite adamant about not wanting to go to any of the "Stans" due to safety as an American. I was building a case about how it's super safe but then the Pakistan/Afghanistan conflict happened. Safe to say he's sticking to his guns lol
 
From what I see, Pakistan is politically more stable than our USA right now. All our rides were away from the borders where the excitement is… Moin is pretty serious about our safety. It was never an issue, even a thought, on our trip. Until the last day when other middle east things heated up.

Moin is awesome.

I've felt more at risk riding out in the sticks in Cali than I did anywhere in Pakistan. Everyone we encountered was super friendly.

I think perhaps I didn't word it correctly. I'm fine going to Pakistan, one of my co-workers was apprehensive and then last week the bombing started between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which did not help my side of the argument.

I’m really enjoying the videos Moin’s been posting on You Tube. The recent clip following Regis is fantastic. I’ll never forget chasing Regis and Felipe dow from San Rafael in Baja. Their lines and my old ATK made it look like I actually knew how to ride :ride
 
That was fun. Threw it up in the big screen and enjoyed bigley.
