BARF's Biggest Losers, Gainers, Maintainers....Q3 2015 Edition

Wow you guys are doing great!

Well I weighed in at 207.2 yesterday morning, down 21lbs. :party

I am home from Pueblo and starting the sport specific training for the triathlon. Tempo runs, Lactate swims, and VO2 max bike rides. The blood doping has been awesome for the last couple of days coming from 5000 ft to 500 ft ele.

Happy Thanksgiving!

So I know its not my weekly weigh in, but just finished exercising on the bike and weighed 179.8 so feeling really stoked right now as I haven't been in the 170's for as long as I can remember, like high school, which was back in the 80s. Thanks Losers for the motivation!! Keep it going folks!!

Had a good week and briefly went under 180 for the first time, but ended the week up a little from the week before. 180.6 this morning. I'm still considering it a win since this was thanksgiving and I was at 184.6 thanksgiving night after pigging out with my family. My sister in law makes this chocolate peanut butter pie that is just evil and wrong so I had to eat as much of it as I could. Any way back on it and I need to break through this 180 plateau.

10/15 185.8
10/21 184.6
10/28 184.8
11/4 182.0
11/11 182.4
11/18 180.8
11/25 180.0
12/2 180.6

I am waiting for the "whoosh" where I step on the scale and went from 138-39 to 124 all in one day :laughing

Nice progress you guys! I forgot to weigh in today, will do it tomorrow. Lots going on in my little life so I've been fairly absent, and haven't been tracking like I should have, but still thinking about it and trying to make smarter choices :D

Better late then never
I'll jump in on this see what I can do by the time summer rolls back around.

Awesome Raul! I started late on the last one but it got me motivated none the less. :thumbup

Hey Raul,

I read your comment about the supplements that taste yucky. I use 1st-Phorm Level 1 protein powders and they are tasty. I stir them into my coffee, bake with them, make waffles with them, and generally get a lot of nutrient goals et with very little calorie expenditure.

Also, I am 139, not 129 typing on the i-phone. Still fat.

Goal is to maintain weight, while running 18-20 [very hilly] miles per week.

I also want to bring my average running pace closer to 8-min/mile (for 5 miles). Right now, I'm hovering around 9-min/mile on flat terrain.

I got back to trail and road running earlier this year, and weighed in at 128 lbs. My current weight is fluctuating between 122 and 123.

I'm increasing my calories to 3000. My weight lifting has kind of stalled and I'm hoping to break the plateau somehow.

Good Morning Losers.

It is 2 weeks till the triathlon in Florida, I am getting pretty jazzed.

I weighed in today at 207.4. I have been hovering at this weight for two weeks even though the training load has increased. I am happy with it because I made it through Thanksgiving and a week of the in-law's visiting. When I first made the decision to try a triathlon I was at 228lbs like I said. The pants and shorts are fitting quite nice now. I think I like this weight :teeth.

Yesterday I ran 5 miles for the first time in 20 years and was pretty stoked but I sure am paying for it today:(.

Keep the updates coming!

I weighed my self out of the shower yesterday morning after starting the kaiser diet program last Wednesday.
So far from Wednesday to Sunday I was down 14 lbs.
Sticking to only the meals that are provided by Kaiser has been hard but damn the results speak volumes.

Wow thats impressive! Nice!!

I picked up an elliptical thingie yesterday off cl for $30 so the stationary bike is going to start collecting dust. Definitely a better workout than the bike, plus its got flashy lights and a fan! Still seem to be stuck right around 180 and need to break through this most recent plateau. Nice work Losers!!

Well I broke through the 180-181 plateau. Weighed in at 179.2 this morning. The new elliptical is definitely a superior workout compared to the stationary bike and its less boring because its got a place to hold a book or ipad/reader whatever. Getting closer to my goal of 175, but I'm starting to care less about my weight and more want to burn off the fat regardless of what my weight ends up being. Seems like there is still plenty to burn.

I'm 6'1" and my bmi is 23.6 so I'm on the high end of "normal" at this point, but the love handles remain. Is this just going to be the deal where I have to continue to exercise for the rest of my life and then in like a year I'll notice that the love handles are going away? :laughing

Hopefully this new routine will just continue for the rest of my life, thats my real goal!
