Man that Rockstar social club thing must be overfuckinloaded or something. I haven't been able to take a selfie. The iFruit app barely works. Hope they get their servers sorted out before Online goes live in a week or it's gonna ruin what is otherwise the best game launch evar. A billion dollars in 3 days...holy shit.

Anyone who hasn't done the jewel heist yet....pick the best crew possible. You have to give them a bigger cut, but it's worth it. I cheaped out on my gunman because I thought he wasn't essential because we went in on the prowl. And he's the guy that crashed and left $2M in the sewer as we were getting away.

I wanna take what little profit I made from the heist and play the market. Invest in the rival airline, and then go blow up all the FlyUS planes at the airport. Shit like that.

You can buy a Rhino tank for $3M. (Or cheat and spawn it anytime for free) And I will have one in my garage.

I did the same, picked good people and a shitty gunmen...except, I crashed going into his wreck going into the sewers and when I got to the end cutscene it said I picked up his share so we were still good.

Aww man. Really? Judging by the prices of the vehicles and whatever, $2M is a good chunk of money in this game. Sucks that I lost it. Oh well...there's gonna be more heists for sure.

I stopped trying to take pics in game because that shit froze my game twice already.

Once they get that shit sorted out though we should do a selfie competition of random acts of suicide. Take a picture of yourself falling out of a plane, or standing in front of a train, etc.

This game is all sorts of fucked up. Last night I was way up north and found a nice 4x4 pick-up truck, so I drove that thing like 4 miles back to my garage in LS, babying it the whole way. I hit the Los Santos Customs Shop first, drop about 30K in upgrades, I get about 4 blocks from the garage and one of those random robbery events pop up. So of course I had to take the bad guy down, ran him down with the truck, I get out to grab the wallet, the robber's still alive and now he's shooting at me. So I take cover on the side of my truck, start digging through my weapons wheel. I start creeping around the back of my truck to take the guy out when a bus comes out of nowhere, spooked by the gunfire, just sacks the hell out of my guy. Instant kill. My new truck with all the upgrades is nowhere to be found after I get out of the hospital. FML.

Yeah, I heard the little money chime like I picked it up but it's pretty damn hard to see any drops in this game for me. Like, even when I run people over/beat them up/shoot them in the street I can't tell when they drop stuff half the time. It's easier to see at night time, but during the day...forget it. It was purely on accident though because I was right on his ass and didn't expect him to crash; he binned it and my bike caught a little hop in the air and sent me into the wall. Bike went down the tunnel, I was at the entrance still by the road. Just sprinted for my bike and somewhere running through the entrance picked up the cash/jewels apparently.

Long time barftron lurker, rare poster but thought I'd start chiming in with GT5 stuff too


Some are actually good payoffs, after you do the triatholon vs the pissed off chick with Franklin you can come across a girl tied up, kill the baddies, take her home and she puts 60k into your account.

Later with Trevor there is a case w/ 25k in it and some shot up Mexicans, they warn you not to take the case and if you do you get attacked but some Mexicans afterwards, which when it happened to me, I wound up hitting a cop, getting chased with 3stars, which went to 4 stars when I shot the helicopter down, and eventually got killed. Lost 3k in the hospital, gained 25k from the case, I consider that a win.

Car theft is a serious problem in Los Santos, but it's turning out to be an even bigger headache for Rockstar Games.

A bug in Grand Theft Auto V is causing cars and car upgrades to disappear when players park vehicles in the game's various garages, which are supposed to be save points. As a result, Rockstar is warning fans not to use those garages until they can solve the problem.

"We have received some reports about problems with cars and garages, particularly after upgrading and then completing a mission, and are looking into this now. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a workaround to recover a car if it is missing," the developer said on its support page. "Please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades."

No one's quite sure what triggers the bug. Rockstar noted it may occur if you drive another character's vehicle (i.e. Franklin taking one of Michael's rides out for a spin).

In the meantime, the company is advising players to sign up for the Rockstar Social Club, which has a separate garage they can store cars in while doing missions. This does not seem to be affected at present.

Meh I haven't bothered with any upgrades yet. I wreck or abandon cars far too often to worry about it. Although, the one car I DID park in my garage for Michael (randomly) was a GT40 and it keeps respawning in the garage even when I abandon it halfway across the city.
