BARFTRON HOMEBASE

My turtle beaches can connect a little dongle thing to the controller and it's one of the very few headsets that allows totally wireless operation with the 360.

Of course the chat connector is different now on the Uno, so this dongle is worthless. My buddy got the Tritons that don't even need the dongle and connect wirelessly directly with the console for the chat. Also worthless and can't be used with the new Xbox Uno. Two $300 headsets that pretty much can't be used at all if and when we buy the new console.

Thanks Obama!

There won't be a Turtle Beach -> Xbox One adapter until 2014 Q1. Though, I think it's ridiculous neither console supports Bluetooth headset. I believe the optical out issue will also be resolved sometime in 2014.

Honestly, the fuckery found in both consoles is the result of both companies rushing to meet the holiday shopping deadline. At the end of the day, none of these shortfalls are going to have a significant blow back to their sales, and to them, that's all that matters. If there's anything I learned working in the hardware industry, never buy the first batch of any product launch. You'll end up being the guinea pig beta testing their production line.

Having said that, I do have an Xbox One lol :nchantr I don't have any games, so I can't comment on the graphics. The new controller is pretty comfortable; however, the trigger/bumper takes some getting used to. The DPad is a huge improvement.

I'm also very glad the battery pack is internal now. Basically all my 360 controllers have tape on the battery pack cause that 0.1mm slack disconnects the power.

I also like their new headset connector, but then again, I don't have now-useless $300 headsets. The mute/volume change is easy to access and the connection feels solid. I don't like the headset itself. I find the 360 version more comfortable.

Lastly, the console itself is fucking huge. It's the same size as my DirecTV DVR, which is also a monster. Initially I had my DVR and 360 side by side on my entertainment stand; however, the X1 is so huge I now have to put it on top of my DVR.

Trololololol. Shades back in the dark ages.

My first dial up modem was like an 800 baud. Even an ASCII "picture" took forever to load. So believe it or not, shit can be a lot worse than measuring speed in kilobits/sec.

no GT6 is on ps3 only. they come out with two gran turismos per system. GT7 and 8 will be on ps4, but if their development time for gt5 was any indication of how long they will take to come out with it, dont expect gran turismo on ps4 anytime soon.

Polyphony/Sony has some amazing timing.

PS3 came out. No GT5 anywhere to be found. Hell, not for yeeeeeaaars. Then they throw out the GT5 Prologue, which everyone said sucked and was basically them charging money for a demo/beta. And then finally when GT5 finally came out, they had taken so long, Forza had passed them up. And now as the PS3's life cycle is done, they drop GT6 for it.

Having a hard time figuring out the logic there.

they justified gt6 by creating a new physics engine, new tracks and better graphics. i was hesitant too at first when i heard all that because it sounds like they could have just updated gt5 with everything they gave you in gt6, but after a week with the game, i am glad i bought it. its way better than gt5. i cant speak for forza because i absolutely despise microsoft and refuse to give them another dollar of mine, but as far as gt6 goes, it was not a disappointment.

Forza has come a long way. I almost...almost ran out and got the XBox Uno just because if the new Forza. Still gonna sit tight until Titanfall comes out.
