BARFTRON HOMEBASE

I'm still on Ghosts. Just had a 60:36 game and we lost at the end because my team couldn't hold down a single fucking flag and lost all 3 when we I died (was holding B long enough to get my chopper off it). Called in the chopper, died...and team lost A, then lost B before I could get back to it. Score went from 198-197, to 198-198, to 198-200

I picked it up. The EXO abilities to boost jump is gonna be overused. Should've never included that in the game, but gotta adapt to it. The good thing is that they have a playlist where there are no EXO abilities so they did something right.

I stopped playing it on PC like this time last year. Is there still a thriving population? Seems the population was dying down the last few times I played.

I'm gonna skip Advanced Warfare, that franchise is done as far as I'm concerned.

I've got 4 games lined up for the XB1, Shadow of Mordor, AC: Unity, GTA V, and Far Cry 4.

Seems plenty enough to me. It's a little odd how quickly one side can suddenly be overwhelmed in the huge fights though. One minute it is a huge stalemate blood fest and then suddenly I'm all alone or spawned two territories over.

im not going to buy a CURRENT GEN console just to play it but it does look sweet. i switched crews cause none of you people ever play it.

It's still pretty fun, but it has the same repetitiveness you'll find in Halo/COD. The story mode is short, and the patrol missions are kind of dumb. The strike/raid adds a nice depth to the game, but they're just harder versions of story scenes.

In the strike/raids, level and equipment make a difference, so there's some grind to it similar to that of RPGs.

Classes are very customizable (awesome) but weapons are way more limited (lame).

Overall, I like it, but I'm taking a break until the new content comes out in December.
 
I know I just said I'm waiting for The Division, but I think I'm picking up a PS4 and Advanced Warfare on the way home tomorrow.

i rented AW for ps3 last night. so far the campaign mode is decent, but i still dont like the jumpy jumpy thing. i cant see it enhancing the online play very much.
 
The jumping in AW seems awfully similar to Titanfall. It was a pretty bad gameplay concept in TF so I can't imagine how silly it'd be in game franchise that's always had "realism" as a core concept.

Gran Turismo if you like racing games. Haven't checked out the latest Metal Gear Solid yet but it's another proprietary series that's pretty awesome imo. And after trying to play Ghosts today and finding the servers pretty much abandoned (400 people in playlist?!! Less than 120 playing hardcore dom?!) looks like I may be picking up Advanced Warfare after all. :|
