BARFTRON HOMEBASE

Also, anyone have a recommendation for a comfortable bluetooth headset that fits like a Plantronics M50 but actually works with PS4 in-game chats? I found an excel spreadsheet listing on the PS4 forums that lists compatible headsets but the Plantronics are my go-to comfy minimalist long battery life headsets. I don't want the full headphone types - I have a surround sound system for the rest of the game noise. I just want my chat to go through bluetooth.

If hardcore is your thing, the AK12 with a foregrip and silencer are gonna get it done. AK12 with the foregrip is like almost zero recoil. I know you'll be tempted to use the Bal27 like everyone else (it's really the best gun in the game), but in hardcore you'll like the AK's pretty decent iron sights, quick reload, and the fact that the second shot from across the map will land pretty much where the first one did.

One thing I like about hardcore is it does minimize each weapons strengths and weaknesses - it's an equalizer of sorts. Yeah, recoil and ROF still matter a bit - but not as much as in core. Aim + trigger squeeze are key. I pretty much tend to play hardcore only. Ever since MW2 I don't get why "hardcore" isn't simply a toggle when searching for games.

One thing that suuuucks for hardcore is that there is no longer a dead silence perk. There's a "exo mute" ability but it doesn't last very long. Plus the ability to soundwhore isn't so good.

It really doesn't matter that there's no dead silence. And not worth using on your exo ability over some of the others. It's like Black Ops audio. So much environmental shit going on and footsteps are pretty quiet.

Well fuck. One less reason to hesitate on buying - it's available for digital download directly to my PS4, no disc necessary. Plus my brother owes me for his cell phone bill. Fuck it. Downloading now.

Yup they sure make it easy for you now.

I've decided that the ARs are overkill in hardcore. Sure you can one shot some kids from decent distance. But one of the SMGs you can put a foregrip on and it is really accurate. Two shots from across the map. I think it's called the SN6. Faster movement, better hip fire, faster aim/raise speeds...yeah. That's where I'm at now.

Sporting the AK12 at the moment, but I'm only like level 11. Just played a couple games of HCDOM. Took me till the end of the second game to realize how everyone was jump jetting...I was like "huh, I didn't see that option in the Exos when I was playing around with loadouts in local mode..."

Couple changes I like: Lots of vertical movement. Lots. Maps change dynamically too, so flags raise and lower and shit so you have to adjust constantly. Infinite sprint + Exo suit boost = bumrush for flags. Upgrades to streaks are cool.

Couple changes I don't like: Can't name my custom class "Assault" because it's restricted language - I assume the ASS part...which is retarded because nobody's ever going to see what I named my custom classes except myself. Flags can obscure vision. Upgrades to streaks replace rather than duplicate - no UAV > Blackbird linking, you just get one or the other based on what you upgrade.

You can make the uav sorta like the blackbird. Orbital, faster update, and direction add ons. Or threat detection instead of direction. It sure becomes an expensive uav though.

I still haven't quite figured out all the boosting yet either. The double jump ok. But I'm not sure how to boost dodge or how I see other people surge forward after jumping. I need to figure that one out since you can cover a shitload of ground quickly.

Vertical gameplay is uhhhh, interesting. The plus side is there's lots of fairly harmless targets to shoot out of the air. Helps to run the stock attachment to properly skeet shoot. I'm still thinking I have to run around or through a building or whatever when I can just quickly go over it.

Push down on the left thumb stick. Works in any direction while jumping, and you can dash left, right, and backwards while running.

Well I know you can come down fast if you hit the button to crouch while in the air.

If you do it in hardcore and land near your teammates, you'll kill them. It's a "boost stomp" or some shit. Even in core if you land directly on an enemy it's just like melee.

Current loadout I'm enjoying:

AK12-G: Laser, silencer
Perk 1: Lightweight, Low profile
Perk 2: Cold blooded, blind eye
Perk 3: Hard wired
Exo: Overclock, tracker drone
No secondary
UAV

How the hell do you unlock the multiple upgrades for streaks? I only have one option to add per streak and 2 padlocked options.

Those unlock as you rank up. Making the UAV give more assist points, last longer, and sweep faster sure helps you get to the next streak faster.

Blast supressor in the 3rd slot is much more suited to your stealth perks. All those boost jumps show on radar just like when you shoot an unsilenced gun.

Playing hardcore. They don't have radar :teeth jump in a game with us my old crew I've been playing with since 2007 is back.

If you're not worried about radar, then no need for low profile. Put flak jacket there. As I'm sure you've seen by now, people spam explosives like a mufucka in hardcore. Saw a game ending killcam...fucker was running bombardier wildcard...pop Semtex off the right, the pop a frag off the left, then pop another semtex off the right. Then he also had that Mk32 grenade launcher thing.
