I tried my damnesdest to stay at 14 to keep playing with the my friends but we did a couple of the main missions and I leveled up to 16 in less than 2 hours.

DZ 1-14 bracket was easy for me with a crew of 3-4. The problem is you level up so quick and what gear you pull out of the DZ is quickly outdated. I must've hauled out over 100 pieces of loot out of the DZ (mostly blues) and aside from a couple of guns all of the stuff was outdated by the time I made 16. I ended up spending money at the DZ vendors and the High-End Armory to bump my stats up.

Yeah I know the loot will be short lived. So I. May not even bother with the extractions too much other than to just scrap it all later for blue crafting materials. But the DZ funds...that's my real angle here. I was just gonna go in there and farm fights with the AI just to get the money they drop. Plus, a lot of the really good DZ gear you also need a DZ rank of 30 to get it. And my DZ rank is a piddly 6 right now.
 
im too high of a rank and none of my friends want to play with me :cries


i should probably start focusing on the DZ to let everyone else catch up. lvl 26/12 right now.

DZ funds are definitely the way to go. I ended up buying a purple L16 RPK from the armory at 8000 credits. I only had 24000 credits stockpiled at that point in the game.

The DZ on the other hand, you could pick up a decent gun for like 1000DZ, and I had about 6000DZ last I checked.

My problem now is that as soon as I hit Level 16, all the Dark Zone vendors are now selling stuff with a Rank 30 requirement. I went to 3 different DZ vendors last night and every single thing was at Rank 30. At Level 14-15 about half the items I saw were only Rank 10 required.
 
So I was a level 8 and invited a friend of mine who was a level 18 to my group and we were doing some of my missions but we kept facing Baddies that were 5 levels above me.

I thought if you were group leader that you would dictate the level of the baddies that you would face?

It kinda sucked getting shot once and dying, a hundred times.

I did manage to level up to a 15 though but it was brutal.

I think I've figured out that it isn't actually like Borderlands after all. The bad guys levels are equal to the average of the party's levels. So if you're a level 10 and your buddy who's a level 20 joins your game, it splits the difference and you both face level 15 bad guys. Brutal for you, but EZmode for your buddy. Best to let him take the front line and kill everyone and you just hide near him and throw out heal stations and smart covers.

Plus you level up faster.

Just from a few times joining my higher level buddy's game and getting shitloads of XP, I'm like way OP for the zones of the city that I still am supposed to be in story wise right now. Which is fine. When I don't have a party, I'd rather be able to just delete bad guys with one headshot. If I was still at a comparable level for the area, even the common random street encounter goons would take like 3 head shots from a marksman to beat.

you're probably going to die every 2 seconds too, but i get xp for reviving you so it all works out :teeth:laughing

Tom Clancy series, especially "The Division"

Just about any COD is top notch.
I would recommend picking up one or two of the older COD games for cheap to get back in it. They are all pretty good, with some being great. World at War, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops, etc.
 
dont know anything about forza. im not an xboner. good go-to fps games are battlefield4 or cod black ops3. I, and most people here would strongly suggest you look into getting the division

good game review sites: IGN, Kotaku, Destructoid, etc.
 
Soloed in the DZ last night after all my buddies went to sleep. Had to Forrest Gump my way through a lot of the streets in DZ03 but I managed to fill up the Extraction Stash.

What are you guys running for weapons? I'm constantly running out of ammo so I've decided to carry all 6 weapon types. When I run out I just throw on another weapon type. My current loadout:
