Followed Wall-E around this time. Works surprisingly well when there's 3 AGRs wandering around a wide open map like Carrier.

You don't have to sprint. But you have to constantly move. And not just shuffle back and forth hard scoping a choke point.

In your minimap, the arrow that indicates you will grey out when ghost is "working" and will go bright again if you camp. Not much more than a second delay before it switches.
 
I still haven't unwrapped the plastic from Hitman yet. I've been meaning to fire up some BF3. The new Aftermath DLC came out. Scavenger game mode and the crossbow are new too.

I play Hardcore only. No minimap unless we have a UAV up. Much harder to tell.

+1 I hate that domination isn't on hardcore like mw3.
Stupid regular mode and the always on radar.
Does anyone else think that the game is super quiet? I can't hear footsteps, etc and makes using dead silence pointless.

I have a ghost/silencer class. In all honesty, I don't think ghost is worth spending the point.

Even if you have ghost on, odds are that the teammate that's real close to you doesn't. Maps aren't that big so you usually don't get many opportunities to sneak behind the other team. And if you do, your teammate gives you up anyways.

Just like first Black Ops, sound isn't so good for locating bad guys. Even if you double up and run dead silence with awareness it still doesn't help much.

Haven't decided which perk is more worthless, awareness or that one that makes you immune to counter UAVs.

2nd prestige, used permanent unlock on the AN-94 assault rifle and Claymores so far. Kinda wanted to do Ghost, maybe next prestige. Ghost doesn't seem to help me too much anyway as I run a lot, and not too swiftly either carrying an assault rifle, so anybody with a submachine gun or pistol will get the aim-and-shoot drop on me....but that's the fun challenge of running with a heavy rifle. :teeth
 
Prestige 3. I've unlocked Ghost, Dead Silence, and Claymores. Playing HCKC and HCCTF, I HAVE noticed a big difference when playing with Ghost/Dead Silence, but I always have 5-6 people in my party and we all run Ghost at the minimum. I'll probably unlock Tactical Insertions next if HCDOM is out by the time I prestige again. One of my friends is now Prestige 8... :wtf

What're you guys using for Scorestreaks? I've been sticking with UAV, Hunter Killer, Care Package mostly for HCKC, but for CTF I pull out UAV, Care Package, Sentry Gun. Couple dudes I play with stay with UAV, Wall-E, Stealth Chopper, but they're a bit better than me and roast marshmellows by the pallet.

Oh man picking that game up was a mistake. Traded in Halo 4 for it last night and got a $20 discount on Far Cry 3 and Assassins Creed 3.

5 hours later it was midnight. It's like a blend of Skyrim/Red Dead Redemption/Just Cause 2/Call of Duty. It has the open world feel/beauty of Skyrim and RDR, along with hunting and foraging components. Archery components straight out of Skyrim. Plays like any MW/COD FPS in the shooting elements. Along with the over the top adventure feel of Just Cause 2 (hang gliding, ziplining, all manner of vehicles).

Gameplay is very open world. You've got your main story mission, but you can choose to ignore it and do whatever you like. Capture radio towers to reveal the map, capture outposts to secure that section of the island and make it safer to move around it and populate it with more friendlies. There's bulletin boards you can use to do side missions with, usually involving killing somebody or hunting some animal down. There's GTA-style side games like knife throwing, racing.

The guns are fairly limited, usually 3-4 of each category (pistols/SMGs/ARs/etc.) Buy a gun once and it's yours forever although you can only carry a max of 4 with you. You have to return to the store/kiosk if you wanted to re-equip a certain weapon/tool. It took a page from MW/COD and you can purchase upgrades for your guns, extended mags, red dots, camo, etc.

Graphics are gorgeous. Lush and tropical, it rivals the beauty of Skyrim. Frame rate is OK although I did notice stuttering when I was in a full-on brawl in the jungle.

I have some minor complaints about it, like how arbitrary the crafting is. I can make a weapon holster out of goat hide for my second weapon slot, but for my fourth weapon slot I need shark skin, how the hell do you kill a shark? If I can make a wallet that holds $2000 out of deer skin, can't I just make a bigger wallet that holds $4000 out of more deer skin? Nooooo, I gotta go find some fucking cassowaries. And I still haven't found a single boar to make mag pouches with.

It also tries too hard to be funny. You know when you're a kid and you're cool and then your parents try to be cool to relate and it just comes out awkward? Yea, that. The codec is tedious simply because somebody tried too hard to be funny.

It sounds like the multiplayer component is pretty weak although I haven't tried it for myself. Nothing rivaling COD/MW for sure. There's also a 4 player co-op, but it's designed for 4 players and it doesn't scale so it's supposed to be a grind with just 2 players.

Those are pretty minor complaints however, this is a solid game. If you enjoy open world games like the ones I mentioned above, you're gonna love Far Cry 3.

Care Package, Hellstorm, & Lightning Strike

Super easy to get these scorestreaks since you don't need much to earn them. I play a lot of domination so it's pretty easy to predict where they're going to spawn.
 
Don't buy any guns, just unlock them with radio towers. Don't buy ammo after you take an outpost either it's way too expensive. Just loot the bodies and you'll pick up their ammo also depending on the gun.

There are about 8 more high end guns that get unlocked that you can't see now. Some with the second island and some buy doing all the side quests. I think you have to buy those and they are bank.

Hunting sharks just stand on the shoreline and use the camera. Works best with sniper rifle. I try to walk most places because you see more animals and I try to get a couple hides of each without knowing if ill need it or not later. You'll need to do hunting quests for the last level of items
